EKI-2701MPI-5G Startup Manual 1
The EKI-2701MPI-5G is a next-generation injector compli-
ant with IEEE 802.3af/at/bt standards. Utilizing Power over
Ethernet (PoE) technology, it delivers both data and power
to Ethernet-enabled devices through a standard CAT6(A)/
CAT7 cable, providing up to 90W.
The EKI-2701MPI-5G allows for exible deployment of
standard and high-powered PD devices, simultaneously
transmitting data and power over a single Ethernet cable
up to 100 meters. It features dual power input options via
a pluggable terminal block or DC jack, and oers both
DIN-rail and wall-mounting installation options for added
convenience.
With the EKI-2701MPI-5G, deploying WiFi access points at
a 5Gbps transmission rate can be easy. It supports multi-
data rates of 10M/100M/1000M/2.5G/5G and can provide
up to 90W of PoE power, making it an ideal solution for
high-performance networking needs.
Before installation, please make sure that you have re-
ceived the following:
• 1 x EKI-2701MPI-5G PoE Injector
• 1 x DlN-rail mounting bracket with 3 screws (M3 x 5L)
• 2 x Wall mounting brackets with 4 screws (M3 x 5L)
• 1 x EKI-2701MPI-5G Startup Manual
• 1 x 120W Power Supply (EKI-2701MPI-5GPS)

The EKI-2701MPI-5G injector supports dual +54~57 V
DC
power inputs. For operation, connecting either power V1
or V2 to the switch is sucient. If both sets are connected,
it enhances redundancy. In the event of a power resource
failure in one set, it will automatically switch to the other set
of power resources.
1. Insert the positive and negative wires into the V+ and
V- contacts on the terminal block connector.
2. Tighten the wire-clamps screws to prevent the DC
wires coming loose.
Warning: This product is intended to be supplied by a UL
certied power supply or DC source suitable
for use at a minimum Tma 85 °C whose output
meets ES1 or PS2 is rated 54- 57Vdc, 1.75A
min., if you need further assistance, please
contact Advantech for further information.
Warning: Ensure that the voltage of the power source is
correct before connecting the equipment to a
power outlet. The power outlet socket should
have a grounded connection.
Warning: Never open the equipment. For safety reasons,
the equipment should only be opened by a quali-
ed skilled person.

2. Removing the DIN-Rail Mounting Kit.
1. Secure the wall brackets to the device with M3 screws,
see the following gure. Align the wall mount plate over
the screws on the wall.
2. To mount the wall plate, use screws of the size shown
in the following illustration.
