EKI-2711MPSI Overview

E KI-2525/I

The EKI-2711MPSI is an 802.3bt PoE splitter designed to

power non-PoE devices such as IP cameras, Wi-Fi access

points, and access control systems. By extracting power

from a PoE network, it eliminates the need for separate

power adapters, reducing cabling complexity and deploy-

ment costs.

Supporting both data and power transmission over a single

Ethernet cable, the EKI-2711MPSI can deliver up to 70W

from a PoE Power Source Equipment (PSE) and provides

selectable 12VDC or 24VDC output via a DIP switch. It sup-

ports distances up to 328 feet (100m) using CAT5 cables for

1G connections or CAT6 cables for 2.5G speeds*.

This PoE splitter is ideal for two common applications:

When used with a PoE switch, it provides direct power to

non-PoE devices, simplifying installation.

When combined with a PoE injector and a non-PoE switch,

it enables long-distance power transmission while maintain-

ing compatibility with existing network infrastructure.

*Note: The maximum transmission distance stated above is

based on tests using CAT6 cables with a DCR of 6.66Ω per

100 meters and a 95W PSE. Actual performance may vary

depending on cable quality and environmental conditions.
