This option connects a GL3000 or GL3300 console as a channel expander to a
second console with just one or two interconnecting cables.
Interconnecting cables not supplied.

CHECK THE CONTENTS :
Please check carefully the SYS-LINK circuit board assembly is the correct one for the console in which
it is to be installed.

To fit the SYS-LINK option it is necessary to partially remove GROUP 1 circuit board assembly to enable
access to the SYS-LINK solder pads. It is not necessary to remove any other circuit board assemblies as
access to the SYS-LINK solder pads is easier and the solder connections can be made with the circuit
assemblies in place.
REMOVE THE KNOB CAPS:

Pull off the knob caps from Group 1 channel only. The switch caps can remain in place. Using a suitable
nut driver, remove the pot nuts.
Then invert the console and place it on its front.

’DISCONNECTING THE HARNESS ASSEMBLIES:
REMOVE THE BLANKING PLATE :

The blanking plate is located below the input connectors on the rear panel of channels 9 to 16. Unscrew
the retaining screws and remove the blanking plate.
Disconnect the MAIN HARNESS (A) plugged into the connectors mounted along the edge of the circuit
boards. It is not necessary to disconnect channels 1 to 15.
Then disconnect the 16 way MASTER HARNESS (B) from the GROUP circuit board assemblies but not from
the MASTER CONNECTOR circuit board assembly (C). Drape the harness over the rear of the console.
Disconnect the flexible flat cables (D) plugged into the GROUP and LEFT circuit boards.
REMOVE THE CONSOLE BASE :
