Altiverb is a plug-in that makes your audio sound as if it was played back somewhere else, adding the
acoustics of existing spaces to your own recordings or to your live audio. The spaces in Altiverb were
sampled in the real world. Therefore it can be called a sampled acoustics processor. The mathematical
process to add real acoustics to audio is called Convolution, and because acoustics can also be called
reverb, you can also call Altiverb A Convolution Reverb. The samples of spaces are called Impulse
Responses.!
