Information
Purpose
• For free motion quilting and repairing holes.
• For free motion embroidery and contour quilting.
For your safety
Before using this accessory, please read the instruction manual at hand as
well as the instruction manual of your machine carefully.
Application
Manual darning
> Select the straight stitch.
> Lower the feed dog.
> Attach the extension table.
> Hoop the fabric in the darning hoop (special accessory) and fix the darning
hoop to the darning hoop connection on the machine.
– The darning area stays evenly taut and cannot be distorted.
> Sew from the left to the right and guide the fabric evenly by hand without
using pressure. Move in curves when changing the direction to avoid holes
and thread breakage. Sew the first rows not too close together and be-
yond the worn area. (Fig.1)
> Turn the fabric in the darning hoop by 90° if possible.
> Sew the first rows not too close together. (Fig.2)
> Turn the fabric by 180°.
> Sew another loose row. (Fig.3)
Tips
> Iron the fusible interfacing under the hole before darning.
> If the thread breaks, guide the fabric more consistently.
> Work the edges in irregular lengths so that the thread is better spread over
the fabric. (Fig.4)
