PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
INSTALLATION & OPERATION
Thank you for purchasing this bXterra Modbus card. This manual contains instructions
and warnings that should be followed during the installation, operation and storage of
the card. Please keep this manual for future reference.
Special Precautions
• If the card is stored prior to installation, it must be stored in a dry place
• The admissible storage temperature range is from 14ºF to 158ºF

The Modbus card provides UPS systems with the functionality of communication with
PCs through the Modbus protocol it also:
• Implements Modbus RTU protocol
• Provides Modbus functions including read Holding Registers and write Registers
• Provides RS-485 interface
• Provides surge protection
Follow these steps to install and use this Modbus card:

3. Insert this Modbus card into the Network slot of your UPS
4. Connect the Modbus card to a computer with a RJ-45 cable, and it is not necessary to

ID of the Modbus card is set to 0x01 as
shown in the chart. Please check the
