slide the battery compartment
cover lock towards the back of
the camera (1111
1) to unlock the
cover.
Pressing down on the battery
compartment cover, slide it to-
wards the side of the camera to
release it, and then swing the
cover up to open it (22

Load the batteries so their plus
(+) and minus (–) ends are facing
as shown in the illustration.

Close the memory card
slot cover.
Insert a memory card into the camera so the arrow
on the front of the card is pointed down.
• If the memory card eject button is extended,
press it back down before inserting the memory
card.
