Precautions
Please read this instruction manual carefully before use. Keep these instructions handy for future
reference.
1. Clean exposed parts with a soft, slightly damp cloth. To remove stains, use a mild soap. Never
use detergents, excess water, treated cloths, harsh cleaning agents, or sprays. Do not attempt
to lubricate or open scale casing as this will void your warranty.
2. Although your scale is designed to be maintenance-free, it contains sensitive electronic parts.
Avoid rough treatment. Do not drop, kick, or jump on it. Treat it with care to ensure the best
performance.
3. -This scale is designed to read weights up to 3000 g / 6:9.8 lb.oz / 1200 ml / 42.2 .oz. To pre
vent damage, do not place more than 3 kgs on it.
4. Do not store scale where you store cleaning chemicals. The vapors from some household pro-
ducts may affect the electronic components of your scale. Do not store scale on its side.
5. This scale is an extremely sensitive weighing device. In order to prevent run down of the batte-
ries, do not store anything on the scale.
6. Do not dispose of batteries in re. Batteries may explode or leak. Remove the batteries if the
scale will not be used for a long period of time.
7. The appliance must not be immersed into water or other liquids. Should it get wet, it must be
wiped off immediately.
8. This appliance can be used by children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or men-
tal capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way by a person responsible for their
safety and they understand the hazards involved.
9. Children shall be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
10. Do not place the appliance on or near hotplates, open re etc.
11. The appliance is not for outdoor use.
12. The appliance must not be used if it has been dropped on the oor, or if it is obvious that the
appliance is damaged.
13. Use only new batteries of the correct size. Used batteries should always be removed, as they
may leak chemicals which may damage the circuits of the appliance.
14. The batteries must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped.
15. In the event of battery leakage, prevent skin contact and dispose batteries according to local
law.
16. This appliance is intended for domestic use only.
17. If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended, or is it not handled in accordance with
the instruction manual, the full responsibility for any consequences will rest with the user. Any
damages to the product or other things are not covered by the warranty.

Operation
Before rst use
1. Unpack the appliance.
2. lnsert battery into the battery compartment (6) (see ”Replacing batteries”).
Using the appliance
1. Place the appliance on a hard and even surface.
2- Fit the measuring cup (5) onto the base (8). A characteristic
”click” will indicate that the measuring cup has been tted
properly.
3. Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the appliance. Wait
until the display shows ”0”.
4. Select your desired unit (see ”Selecting weight units”).
5. Place products in the measuring cup (do not overload the
appliance; the max. weight is 3000 g).
7. Weight of the product will appear on the display in the selected
unit.
8. When nished weighing, switch off the appliance by pressing
and holding down the ON/OFF button for approx. 2 seconds.
Warning indicators
Replace the battery: The display will show ”LO”. The appliance will switch off automatically
after a few seconds.
Overload indicator: The display will show “EEEE”. Remove the product to avoid damage.
