AustraliaandElectrolux(NZ)Limitedinrespectof Appliances
purchasedinNewZealand;
(b) ‘Appliance’ meansanyElectroluxproductpurchasedbyyou
accompaniedbythisdocument;
(c) ‘WarrantyPeriod’ means
(i)whereyouusethe Applianceforpersonal,domesticor
householdpurposesin Australia theperiodof “24” months
andinNewZealandtheperiodof “24” months;
(ii)whereyouusethe Applianceforcommercialpurposes,in
Australia theperiodof “3” monthsandinNewZealandthe
periodof “3” months,(iftheperiodstatedis0monthsyou

2. Thiswarrantyonlyappliesto Appliancespurchasedandused
in AustraliaorNewZealandandisinadditionto(anddoesnot
exclude,restrict,ormodifyinanyway)anynon-excludable
statutorywarrantiesin AustraliaorNewZealand.
3.Electroluxwarrantsthat,whendispatchedfromanElectrolux
warehouse,the Applianceisfreefromdefectsinmaterialsand
workmanshipfortheWarrantyPeriod.
4.DuringtheWarrantyPeriodElectroluxorits AuthorisedService
Centrewill,atnoextrachargeifyourapplianceisreadily
accessiblewithoutspecialequipment,andsubjecttotheseterms
andconditions,repairorreplaceanypartswhichitconsidersto
bedefective. Youagreethatanyreplaced Appliancesorparts
becomethepropertyofElectrolux. Thiswarrantydoesnotapply

5.Partsand AppliancesnotsuppliedbyElectroluxarenotcovered

AuthorisedServiceCentresofElectroluxandtravellingcostfor

Cleaningyourhotplates
STAINLESSSTEEL CLEANING
Thetopsurfaceofthehotplatesaresealedwithaheatresistantcoating.Beforeusingforthefirsttimethehotplates
shouldbeheatedforashortperiodwithoutapantohardentheprotectivecoating.
Turntheheatsettingtohighforapprox3minutestofullyhardenthecoating.Whenthehotplateshavecooled
applyathincoatingofcookingoiltothehotplatetosealandprotectthesurface.
Coated “easycare” solidhotplateshavearobust,corrosion resistantsurfacewhichistemperatureresistantupto
600 .
Cleanthehotplatesaftertheyhavecooledbywipingwithadampclothorsponge,useasmallamountof
detergentifnecessary.
Stubbornsoilingcanberemovedbysoakingthehotplateforafewminuteswithwarmwaterandalittle
detergent, followedbycleaningusingaplasticscourerorsoftbrush.
Anyspillsormarksthatstillremaincanbeburntoffbyoperatingthehotplateonhighwithoutapanfor2-3
minutes.Whenthehotplatehascooledcleanitnormallyasabove.
Aftercleaning,drythehotplatebywarmingonlowheatforapprox30secondsandthenoilthehotplatewitha
thincoatingofcookingoiltopreventrustorcorrosion.
Somediscolorationofthestainlesssteeltrimringisnormal duringuse. A stainlesssteelcleanermaybeusedtoclean
thetrimring.
Thereisariskofburnsifthehotplatesarehot.Ensurethehotplateshavecooledbeforecleaning.
Donotallowliquidstoenterthecontrolknobareawhilecleaning.
Allgradesandfinishesofstainlesssteelmaystain,discolourorbecomegreasyinnormaloperation. Toachieve
maximumsurfaceappearance,stainlesssteelmustbekeptcleanbyregularlyusingthefollowingcleaning
procedures,thusensuringgoodperformanceandlongservicelife.
Washwithwarmsoapydampcloth.Foranenhancedappearancewipethesurfacewithacleandampclothor
sponge,beingsuretofollowthepolishor ‘brushing’ lines. A stainlesssteelcleanermayalsobeusedinaccordance
withthemanufacturer’sinstructions.
Wherethestainlesssteelhasbecomeextremelydirtywithsignsofsurfacediscolouration, (duetoperiodsofneglect
ormis-use)useamildcleaningsolutioneg. ‘Jif’ or ‘Hillmark’ stainlesssteelcleaner.Whenremovingthesestainsbe
suretofollowthepolishor ‘brushing’ lines.
Ifafaultdevelopsinthecooktop,pleasecheckthepointslistedbelow.Itmaybe
