Safety
• Theappliance should not be taken apart or modified. Nevertry to open thecasing.
Thecasing houses dangerous current-carrying non-insulated components.
Contact with these can lead to fire or electricshock.
• Do not cover theappliance. Adequate ventilation, with adistance of at least 10cm
between ventilation ports and surrounding surfaces, is necessary to prevent
theappliance from overheating.
• Theappliance must only be connected to astandard domestic 100–240V,
50/60Hz electrical supply.
• Make sure that thepower socket that theadaptor is connected to is easily
accessible, since this is theonly way to completely disconnect theDAB radio from
theelectrical system.
• Place theappliance on astable, flat surface.
• Never place any source of naked flames (wax candles, tea lights,etc.) on or close
to theappliance.
• Do not place theappliance where there is arisk of it falling into water or other liquid.
Donot place any objects which contain liquid onto theappliance such as vases,
drinks,etc.
• Do not place theappliance in constant sunlight or near naked flames such as
wood stoves, lit candles,etc.
• Place theappliance in such away that there is no risk of people tripping over its
mainslead.
• This appliance is for indoor useonly.
• Never subject theappliance to high temperature, dust, heavy vibration, impacts,
humidity or moisture.
• Do not abuse themainslead. Donot pull on themains lead; grip theadapter
and pull it out of thesocket when disconnecting theappliance from themains.
Makesure that themains adaptor does not come into contact with heat, sharp
edges or is crushed in anyway.
• Unplug themains adaptor from thewall socket during thunderstorms or if
theappliance is not to be used for alongtime.
• Thestandby switch on theappliance does not completely disconnect it from
themains. Tocompletely disconnect theappliance from themains, themains
adaptor must be unplugged from thewall socket.
