combination infrared/microwave
sensor has built-in monitoring
capability—it monitors all its
critical functions and notifies
compatible controls when an error
occurs. Self-monitoring ensures a
higher level of performance over
the life of the sensor.
• Directional detection. The sensor
can be adjusted to ignore traffic
moving away from the sensor and
reset more quickly. This allows the
door to close more quickly, thus
reducing airflow between
environmentally controlled areas
and the outdoors. This feature
can save your customer money
over the life of the sensor.
• How BLUEZONE works. When
the approach area detects a
person or object, the sensor
activates the door and turns on
the BLUEZONE, which detects
through the threshold. As long as
someone is in the detection area,
the sensor keeps the door in the
open position. Once the area is
cleared, the BLUEZONE ignores
the door panels and allows the
door to close safely.
