Thisclockradioincludesabatterybackupsystemthatwillmaintainthecorrecttime

andalarmsettingsincaseofatemporarypowerinterruption.Aslongasthebattery

hassufficientpower,itwillalsooperatetheRadioorBuzzeralarmtowakeyouup

evenifthepoweris‘Off’atyournormalwakeuptime.Thebatterybackupsystem

requiresone9voltbattery,(notincluded).Werecommendyouuseanalkaline

batteryforlongestlife.

•Openthebatterycompartmentdoor,locatedonthebackoftheradiocabinet.

•Gentlypullthebatteryterminaloutsidethebatterycompartment.

•Connectthe9voltbatterytothebatteryterminal.Itcanonlybe

connectedoneway.

•Pushthebatteryandtheterminalbackintothebattery

compartment.

•Replacethebatterycompartmentdoor.

Ifthepowerisinterrupted theclockdisplaygoes‘Off’.Howevertheclockwill

continuetorun,poweredbythe9voltbattery.Whenpowerisrestoredtheclockwill

come‘On’againtothecorrecttime.Thealarmsettingwillalsobemaintained.

NOTE:Ifnobatteryisinstalled,orifthebatteryisexhaustedandpoweris

interrupted,thetimeandalarmsettingswillbelost.Whenpowerisrestoredtheclock

displaywillbeginflashing“12:00AM”.Thisisyourindicationthatthetimeis

incorrectandneedstobereset.Don’tforgettoresetboththetimeandthewakeup

time.

Afreshalkalinebatteryshouldbeabletoprovidebackuppowerforuptoayearin

normalcircumstances.Howeverifyouliveinanareathathasfrequentpower

interruptionsthebatterylifewillbereduced.Forbestresultsyoushouldinstallanew

batteryevery8to12months.Ifyouinstalledabatterybutyounoticethatthedisplay

isflashing,yourbatteryisexhaustedandshouldbereplaced.

•PressandholdtheCLOCKandHOURbuttonstoadvancethedisplaytothe

correcthour.

•PressandholdtheCLOCKandMINUTEbuttonstoadvancethedisplaytothe

correctminute.

NOTE:IftheAMIndicatorintheupperleftcornerofthedisplayis‘On’,thetime

displayedis“AM”.IftheAMIndicatordoesnotappearinthedisplay,the

WAKETORADIO

Setthewake-uptimeasindicatedabove.Alsotunetheradiotothebandandstation

thatyouwanttohearatthewakeuptime,adjustthevolumeifnecessary,andshut

theradio‘Off’.

•SlidetheALARMselectortotheRAD(Radio)position.

•Attheselectedwake-uptimetheradiowillbegintoplay.Itwillcontinuefor

1hourand59minutesandthenshutoffautomaticallyandresetitselfforthe

followingday.

•Tostoptheradiosooner,presstheALARMRESETbutton.Theradiostops

immediatelyandresetsitselfforthefollowingday.

•TocancelthewaketoradiofunctionslidetheALARMselectortothe‘Off’

position.

WAKETOBUZZERALARM

Setthewakeuptimeasindicatedabove.

•SlidetheALARMselectortotheBUZ(Buzzer)position.

•Attheselectedwakeuptimethebuzzertonewillcomeon.Itwillcontinuefor1

hourand59minutesandthenshutoffautomaticallyandresetitselfforthe

followingday.

•Tostopthebuzzersooner,presstheALARMRESETbutton.Thebuzzerstops

immediatelyandresetsitselfforthefollowingday.

•TocancelthewaketobuzzerfunctionslidetheALARMselectortothe‘Off’

position.

SNOOZE/REPEATALARM

Ifyouneedafewextraminutessleepafterthealarmcomeson,presstheSNOOZE

buttononce.Theradioorbuzzeralarmstopsfor9minutesandthenturnsonagain.

Thisprocedurecanberepeatedmanytimesifnecessary.EachtimetheSNOOZE

buttonispressedthealarmshutsofffor9minutesandthencomesonagain.

NOTE:TheSnooze/RepeatAlarmoperationwillfunctionforupto1hourand59
