Operation

Battery Installation/Replacement

Using a coin or a screwdriver, turn the battery compartment cover a quarter turn to the left. Remove the

cover and install/replace the battery observing the proper polarity.

Taking Temperature Measurements

1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the thermometer ON. The digital display will begin to indicate

temperature. If the display does not operate, replace the battery.

2. Press the oF/oC button to select the desired temperature units.

3. Place the sensor disk flat against the surface to be measured and read the temperature on the

display.

Considerations

 For best results, the probe disk should be held flat against the surface and the surface are should

be free of any dirt or substance that will inhibit thermal contact.

 The thermometer should not be placed inside any oven or microwave.

 Remove the battery from the thermometer if it is not to be used for an extended time period.
