The Extron DTP3 T 211 is a long distance, digital twisted pair transmitter used for sending USB-C

®

video, audio, and control up to

330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded CAT 6A cable to Extron DTP3-enabled products. The unit supports video resolutions up to

4K/60 @ 4:4:4 and complies with HDCP 2.3.

This guide provides quick start instructions for an experienced installer to set up and operate the DTP3 T 211. For full installation,

Step 1 — Mounting (optional)

Turn o󰀨 or disconnect all equipment from the power source. The unit can be securely mounted in a variety of locations, using

optional Extron mounting brackets and accessories (see www.extron.com to determine which optional mounting accessories are

compatible).

Step 2 — Connecting the inputs

UPI 100 W power insert port (see figure 1) — If desired, connect a 2-conductor cable from an Extron UPI 100 to this 5 mm,

2-pole captive screw port. This feature can provide up to 100 W of power to a laptop computer connected to the USB-C

input (

USB-C input — Connect a USB-C video source, such as a laptop, to this USB-C input.

NOTES:

• An Extron UPI 100 is needed to provide power to the USB-C source (

• When using the UPI 100, choose a USB-C cable that is rated for the desired power delivery.

• Use Extron Product Configuration Software (PCS) to configure the power delivery (see the DTP3 T 211 PCS Help

File for more information).

• Extron LockIt

™

Plus cable lacing brackets are provided to secure the USB-C and HDMI connectors to the rear panel

ports. This reduces stress on the connectors and prevents signal loss due to loose cable connections (see LockIt

Plus Installation on page 4 for installation details).

Loop Out port — Connect a display to this HDMI output for local monitoring of digital video (see LockIt Plus Installation).
