•Forsafetyandlegalreasons,anyunauthorisedmodicationoftheproductisnotpermit-
ted.Donotremovethehousingordisassembletheproduct.Nouser-servicableparts
inside.Anyrepairmustbecarriedoutbyaqualiedserviceengineer.
•Theproductdesigndetermineswhichofthecomponentsaresprayproof/waterproof.

4. Product protection
•Protecttheproductagainsthightemperature,mechanicalimpact,strain,ammable

•Handletheproductwithcare.Mechanicalimpactsincludingfallsfromlowheightwill
damagetheproduct.
•Theproductdesigndetermineswhichofthecomponentsaresprayproof/waterproof.

mergingnon-waterproofproducts/componentsinwatermayresultintheproductbeing
damaged.
•Donotimmediatelyconnecttheproducttomainspowerafteryou'vebroughtitfroma
coldintoawarmenvironment(e.g.duringtransport).Theresultingcondensationcan
destroythedevice,orresultinanelectricshock.
Makesurethedeviceisatroomtemperaturebeforeyouswitchiton.Waituntilallcon-
densationhasevaporated.Thismaytakeacoupleofhours.Don'tuseitbeforehand.
•Alwayscheckthevoltagerating.Observetheproduct-specicratingwhenitcomesto
input/outputvoltage/amperage,powerratingsetc.
5. Battery hazards
(removable and non-removable batteries)

•Damagedorpost-servicelifebatteriescanleakuid.Thismayresultinchemicalburns

•Damagedbatteries/rechargeablescancatchreorexplode.
•Donotrechargenon-rechargeablebatteries.Thismayresultinabatteryreorexplo-
sion.
•Onlychargerechargeablebatteries.Makesureyouuseachargerthatissuitablefor
thebatteryyouwanttocharge.Usingthewrongchargermayresultinabatteryreor
explosion.
Keepaneyeonthebatteriesyucharge.Sincebatteriesheatupduringcharging,pro-
tectsensitivesurfacesusinganon-ammablecover.Keepthechargerawayfromam-
mablematerials(e.g.curtains).
Disconnectchargeranddeviceafterthebatteryhasbeenrecharged.
•Ifyourdeviceispoweredbyremovablebatteries,makesureyouusethebatterytype
speciedintheusermanualoronthedevice.
•Iftheproductneedsmorethanonebattery,don'tuserechargeableandnon-recharge-
ablebatteriesatthesametime.Don'tusebatterieswithdifferentchargelevelsoramp
ratings.Replaceallbatteries,notjustone.
