Drywall Installation Brackets / Mud Rings

Many of the versions of the wall plate (-WP) or Decora plate (-DP) products include a retrofit Mounting –E ™

Bracket also referred to as Mud Ring. The products are primarily for export where the wall plate sizes “”–E

may not be the same as in the United States, so providing the mud ring makes installation very easy.

The mud rings are for low voltage applications (all of the WP and ––

DP products qualify as low voltage), and since they are designed for

retrofit application, they do not need to be anchored to studs. All the

customer has to do is to cut a rectangular hole in the drywa ll.
