2. Safety Notes

•Use the product for its intended purpose only.

•Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating, and

only use it in a dry environment.

•When using this product, observe the applicable local trac

laws andgulations.re

•Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major

shocks.

•Keep the packaging material out of theach of children duere

to the risk of suffocation.

•Dispose of packaging material immediately according to

locally applicablegulations.re

•Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the

warranty.

3. Montage

Note

•Before mounting the holder, check the installation options

in your vehicle. If in doubt, consultthe manual for your

vehicle or contact the manufacturer.

•Never apply force when using the product or during

installation.

Warning

•Take carethat components such as airbags, safety areas,

controls, instruments, etc. and visibility arenot blockedor

restricted.

•Do notallow yourself to be distracted by the product,

for example when driving a vehicle or operating sports

equipment. Always pay attention to the surrounding trac

and your environment.

3.1taching the holder (I)At

Ventilation grille clamp (A)

•Carefully push the ventilation grille clamp onto the open

panels of the ventilation grille untilit locks intoplace.

Note

Before setting a device in the holder, check that the panels

are sturdy enough to bear the weight.commend againstWere

using this model for terminal devices heavier than 300 g.

•To remove the holder, use a suitable tool(such as a screw-

driver)to gently press the locking pin downwards and then

carefully pull the holder out ofthe ventilation grille.

Screw-fastening (B)

Note

Make sure that there are no cables or pipes underneath the

selected installationsite that might be damaged.

•Use suitable screws tofasten the holder to the selected

installation site.

Adhesive pad (C)

Note – Installation surface

Please note that the selected installation surface (e.g.

dashboard) should be free of dust and grease. Use a suitable

cleaning agent from a specialised dealer to clean the surface.

•(Remove one of the protective lms from the adhesive pad and

press it onto thear side of the holder for a few seconds.)re

•Remove the (other) protective lm from the adhesive pad and

gently press the holder onto the selected installation surface.

Note

•Wait at least 24 hours afterinstalling the adhesivepad

before attaching the holder.

•Note thatthe adhesive pad is permanently attached. To

remove the adhesive pad, carefully pull it offthe installation

surface. The adhesive pad can only be attached again using

suitable adhesive material available from specialised dealers.

•Various environmental factors such as ambient humidity,

sunlight or cold canimpair the durability ofthe adhesive pad.

•Werecannot guarantee thatsidue will not be left on the

mounting surface after the adhesive pad ismoved.re

Handlebar clamp (D)

Note

Make sure that the installationwill notsultin any controlre

elements, cables, instruments, etc. being covered up,

pinched, or impaired in their functioning.

•Use a suitable tool (optionally included), loosen the screws to

open the clamp and attach itto the handlebar.

•If necessary, use rubber pads or adapters (optionally included)

to adjustthe clamp to tthe diameter of the handlebar.

•Close the clamp and fasten it in place by tightening the screws.

Suction cup holder(E)

•Remove the protective lm from the suction cup andposition

it on a clean and at surface (e.g. window pane).

•If the suction cup holder is tobe attached to augh or une-ro

ven surface (e.g. a dashboard), an adapter plate isoptionally

available.

•Push the locking lever (E – 1)to fasten the suction cup.

•Open the clamping device (E – 4) to position the carrying arm.

•Close the clamping device to lock this position.

•To release the suction cup from the surface, pullthe lateral

slides in the direction of the arrow. (E – 2) Then gently pull the

ap tocompletelylease the suction cup. (E – 3)re

3.2 Mounting the holder (II)

Clip system (A)/ 4-hook/hole clip system(B)

•Set thecess orcesses of the holder onto the bracket.rere

•Move the holder up or down until it clicks into place or is

seated rmly.

4-hook/hole clip system– QuickFIX (C)

•Press the buttons on the side of the bracket together. Then set

thecesses on thear ofthe holder onto the hooks of therere

bracket. Let go ofthe buttons to engage the mounting clip

and fasten the holder in place.

•To remove the holder, press the buttonson the side of the

bracket together.The clip system disengages and you can

remove the holder.

3.3 Inserting andmoving terminal devices (III)re

Note

•Always take your terminal device out of the holder before

attaching ormoving the bracket (adhesive pad, suctionre

cup holder, ventilation grille clamp or other).

•If using a handlebar clamp(I-D), use onlya (universal)

attachment system that additionally secures the terminal

device fromfalling or protects it fromsulting damagere

(such as prods. no. 88404, 88415, 91324, 93710).

Suitable attachment systems for handlebar mounting are,

for instance, protectivebags, brackets with elastic straps,

etc. (suchas prods. no. 93830, 93778)

Universal bracket A

•Press the button onthe side of the universal bracket toopen

thetaining jaws. (A – 1)re

•Insert the terminal device of your choice and secure it in place

by lightly pushing thetaining jaws together. (A – 2)re

•Also adjust the lower carrying arms tothe terminal device by

pulling them further apart or pushing themcloser together.

(A – 3)

•In order to easilymove the terminal device, press the buttonre

on the side of the universal holder.(A – 1)

Universal bracket B

•Turn the smallwheel in the direction indicated by the arrow/

anti-clockwise to open thetaining jaws. (B – 1)re

•Insert the terminal device of your choice and secure it in place

by lightly pushing thetaining jaws together. (B – 2)re

•Adjust both the height and the depth of thetaining jawre

xtures to your terminal device by pulling them further apart

or pushing themcloser together.(B – 2)

•Also adjust the lower carrying arms tothe terminal device by

pulling them further apart or pushing themcloser together.

(B – 3)

•Remove thebottom/top covering cap to add ormove carry-re

ing arms. Replace the covering cap once the adjustments to t

your terminal device have been made. (B – 4)

Note

When using the universal bracket, use as many adjustable

mountings as are necessary for the terminal device to be

perfectly seated.prevent the device from falling out, pushTo

thetaining jaws securely together.re
