Audible and Visual Alarm Indicators

When operating normally, a red LED adjacent to theTest button will ashevery 320 s. Whensmokeis detected, an internal sounder will activate toalertoccupants, and

the LED will ash rapidly. Thesounder is a loud, pulsatingalarm and produces a repeating Temporal 3 audible signal pattern (0.5 s on, 0.5 s o for3 cycles,followed by

1.5s o, repeating).

Test/Hush ButtonWhenthere is no alarm present, holdthe Test/Hush button will activate the smoke alarm to check its operation. The alarmwill sound and the LED will

ash rapidly. The unit will return tonormal condition in about 10 s when the test is completed.

Whenthe smokealarmis in the Alarm condition,pressthe Test/Hush button will hush the smoke alarm forapproximately11 min. The Hushfeature should only be

used after the causeof the alarm is known(such as normal cookingfumes). The Hush feature allows time forthe smoke toclear. During the hush time, the LED willash

twiceeverysecond. After the Hushtime has expired, the smoke alarm will return to normalsensitivity.If smokeis still presentin the unit, the alarmwill re-activate.The

Hush feature can beused repeatedly.

Smoke Chamber Fault

Thedetector monitors the condition of the smokesensing chamber. If the smoke sensing chamber ceases to operate normally, thesmoke alarmwill emit a short

audible signal, thenfollowed by asingle RedLED indicator ash, repeating every40 s. In this case, tryvacuuming clean the detector to remove dust. If the condition

persists, replace the detector with a newunit.

Low Battery

Whenthe battery is depleted, the detector will emit a short audible signal and the Red LED indicator ash, repeatingevery40 s forat least30 days. Interconnected

detector will also emit twoshort audible signals and the RedLED indicatorwill ash twice, repeating every 4 hours. When the Low Batterysignal is given, replaced the

detector with a newunit.

Local alarm memory

Afteralarm occurs, the greenLED gives 3ashes every40 s up to 24h, which stops ashing after 24hours. Anytime before the nextalarm, pressthe Testbutton, the

detector shall emit 3 audible beeps every 1 s. Release of theTest button shall reset the alarm.
