— This sofa is covered with full-grain
leather, which is dyed and only a light
surface coating is added for protection.
This leather breathes easier and makes
the sofa softer and cooler to sit on, but
it also makes it more susceptible to
stains and scratches. Full-grain leather
becomes softer and acquires a darker
tone and a beautiful patina over time.
— Clean your full-grain leather sofa us-
ing the soft brush attachment on your
vacuum and, if needed, wipe the sur-
face with a slightly damp cloth. Never
attempt to clean your sofa with deter-
gents or leather care products (includ-
ing ABSORB), as it will stain the leather
instead of cleaning it.
— Keep the sofa out of direct sunlight and
place it at least 40 cm (12 in.) from any
heat sources to prevent the leather
from drying out.
— Be extra careful with white or light-col-
oured leather furniture, since any spills
would be more visible than on darker
furniture, especially from liquids such
as red wine or coffee.
