INSTRUCTIONS
Introduction
Thank you for choosing Impact.
The dedicated Impact SR-TOT Luxbanx Speed Ring allows filmmakers, videographers,
and photographers to mount a Luxbanx softbox to a Lowel Tota-light quickly and
easily.
The construction of this speed ring includes a customized armature for exact
positioning of the light and a stud for directly mounting the Tota-light to the speed
ring, so that the weight of the softbox is supported by the speed ring, not the light.
This will extend the life of the light by preventing damage from the weight of a
softbox. The stand adapter shifts the center of gravity so that the weight is centered
over the light stand for greater stability.
The Luxbanx SR-TOT has all-metal construction for years of reliable performance.
The mounting ring is made of solid milled aircraft-grade aluminum with precision
machined rod holes for smooth assembly. The Luxbanx SR-TOT Speed Ring is
compatible with most major brands of heat-resistant rectangular, square, and strip
softboxes.

Overview
To use the SR-TOT, mount the Tota-light to the standard 5/8˝ stud on the
armature of the speed ring. Be sure to mount the softbox to the speed ring
so that the light will be inside the softbox.
Some softboxes feature a design which may not allow the back flaps of the
softbox to close completely when mounted to this speed ring. This should
not affect the lighting results.
For assembling the softbox, see the manufacturer’s instructions.
