INSTALLATION
1） ミシンの窓板を取り外し、ひざ上げ横棒 1の段
ねじ 2を外します。
1) Remove the side plate of the machine, and remove
hinge screw 2 in knee lifter side rod 1.
WARNING :
Turn OFF the power before starting the work so as to prevent accidents caused by abrupt start of the
sewing machine.

2） ひざ上げリンク 3の段ねじ 4を外し、付属の
ばね 6(H 用 )/$8(S、A 用 ) をセットしたひざ上
げリンク 5と交換し、段ねじ7で取り付けます。
この時、ミシンを倒してひざ上げ連結棒 8が頭
部の穴9に入っていることを確認してください。
3） 交換したひざ上げリンク 5に、ひざ上げ横棒ピ
ン をねじ締めし、ひざ上げ横棒!0 1をひざ上
げ横棒段ねじ 2で取り付けます。

2) Remove hinge screw 4 of knee lifter link 3.
Change the knee lifter link 3 with knee lifter link
5 on which spring 6 (for H type) / $8 (for S and A
types), supplied with the unit, has been mounted.
Then, place the knee lifter link 5 in position with
hinge screw 7. At this time, tilt the machine and
make sure that knee lifter connecting rod 8 enters
the hole of machine head 9.
3) Screw knee lifter side rod pin !0 in replaced knee
lifter link 5. Then, install knee lifter side rod 1 on
knee lifter link with hinge screw 2.
(Caution)
1.
Securely tighten knee lifter side rod pin !0 since
it is easily loosened.
2.
Apply grease, supplied with the unit, to the
hinge sections of respective hinge screws.
3.
If you use spring $8 which provides a higher
spring pressure, the presser foot lowering
speed is increased. However, the force of
the spring for retaining the presser foot at its
upper position is decreased.
