Mounting location for accurate measurements:

Choose a location that is not subject to direct weather elements. An ideal location

is out of direct sun, on the North side of a building or in a shady spot.

Mounting on nail or screw:

Hang the thermometer from a long nail or screw (not included) with the built in key

hole

Optional calibration:

Compare the thermometer to an existing thermometer with correct readings. Place

both thermometers indoors for three hours to adjust to the indoor temperature. If

the readings are not the same, turn the calibration knob on back of unit in the

appropriate direction to re-calibrate the thermometer. Factory calibration is the

recommended setting. This is adjustment is optional and only recommended if

changes must be made.
