INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING:For maximum safety, this Wiremold Temporary

Power Tap is equipped with a grounding type plug (3-prong) for

use onlywith grounding type receptacles. modification of the

plug to allow its use in non-grounding receptacles voids the

warranty and may lead to electrical shock.

1.Be sure the proposed location for the Wiremold Temporary

Power Tap is close enough to an existing wall outlet to be

reached by the cordset.

2.Line up and locate where to install the mounting clips. for

best results, snap a chalkline or draw a guide line. When

unit is to be installed under an overhanging surface, such

as under a cupboard or shelf, allow at least 1/2" [12.7mm]

clearance between the top side of the unit and the

overhanging surface. This will avoid interference with plug

caps of the cords on tools, appliances, etc. to be powered

by the strip.

3.Install mounting clips. IMPORTANT – if the flat head screws

furnished are used, the substitute fasteners must also not

be of the flat head type, or the unit will not seat securely

in the mounting clips.

4.Snap temporary power tap into mounting clips, and plug

cordset into the wall outlet.
