TheUMT70Sguaranteesparticularlycleanandcolourlesssound

reproduction.Itiswellsuitedforinstrumentalandvocalsoloistsinradioand

television broadcasting and any other kind of accurate production.

Thepressuregradienttransducerisadualcapacitordesignthatusesa

singlebrassbackplateandtwolarge-diametergold-platedplastic

diaphragms.Varyingthepolarizationvoltageappliedtothediaphragms

resultsinthreedirectionalcharacteristics:omni,cardioidandfigure8.Aring

at the bottom of the microphone's head grille is used to select the pattern.

Theomni-directionalpatternshowsaslight2dBriseinthevicinityof

10,5kHzwhilethebassresponseisperfectlyflat.Thecardioidandfigure8

lowfrequenciescanbeutilizedtosuppresstheproximityeffectwhenclose-

miking with the cardioid or figure 8 patterns.
