2. Before each use

● Beforeeachuse,detachallcomponentsand

thoroughlysterilisetheproduct.

● Toensurecleanliness,placeallcomponents

inboilingwaterforveminutesorsterilise

usingaPhilipsAventelectricormicrowave

steamsteriliser.

3. Assembly

● Washbothhandsthoroughlybefore

touchingsterilisedcomponents.

● Makesureyouuseafeedingteatwiththe

correctowratewhenyoufeedyourbaby.

● Ensuretheanti-colicvalve

(thevalveonthesideof

theteat)isopen.Ifthe

anti-colicvalveisclosed,

pulltheteattothesideto

openit.

● Alwaysassembleteatsand

screwringwhenwet.

● Toensurethebottle

functionscorrectlyandto

preventleaks,alwaysensureyou:

● removeanydebrisorresiduethatmay

collectaroundtherimofthebottle

assembly;

● avoidover-tighteningthescrewwhen

assemblingontothebottlebase.

4. Feeding suggestions

● Theteatthatcomeswiththisbottleshould

onlybeusedformilkorwater.Forfruitjuice

orsoup,usethePhilipsAventstandardcross

cutteat,soldseparately.

● Toavoidscalding,donotpourhotliquids

intothefeedingbottle.

● Avoidwarmingcontentsinamicrowave

ovenasthismaycauseunevenheatingand

couldscaldyourbaby.

● Aftersterilising,donotrinseoutthebottle

andteattocooldown.

● Holdthebottleratherthanthebottletop.

● Toavoidscalding,donotpreparemilk

powderfeedsclosetothebaby.

● Whenpreparingformulamilk,attachthe

protectivecapwhenshakingtoprevent

leaks.

● Afterpreparingthemilkpowderfeed,keep

thebottleupright(placingthebottleonan

unevensurfacemayresultinleakage).

● Checkthetemperatureofthefoodbefore

feeding.Testthetemperatureofthe

foodonthepalmofthehand,andbegin

feedingoncethetemperatureisdeemed

appropriate.

● Feedingshouldcommencewithin2hours

ofpreparingthemilkpowder.Iffeeding

doesnotoccurwithinthistimeframe,

discardthefeed.

● Toavoiddamagetotheteat,donot

allowbabiesthatareteethingtofeedfor

extendedperiods.

● Extendedfeedingofliquidsmayleadto

toothdecay.

● Keepsterilisedcomponentsonclean

surfaces.

● Expressedbreastmilkmaybekeptina

sterilisedPhilipsAventfeedingbottleand

storedinarefrigerator(notinthedoor)

forupto48hours,orinthefreezerforup

to3months.

● Donotrefreezebreastmilk,oraddfresh

breastmilktoalreadyfrozenmilk.

● Forhygienereasons,afterthreemonthswe

recommendreplacingteats.

5. Cleaning and Sterilising

● Donotusecorrosiveoranti-bacterial

cleaners,chemicalsolutions,orconcentrated

cleaners.

● Donotplacecomponentsdirectlyon

surfacesthathavebeencleanedwithanti-

bacterialcleaners.

● Foodcoloringsmaydiscolorcomponents.

● Removecomponentsandcleantheproduct

thoroughlyaftereachuse.

● Ifnecessary,cleanwiththePhilipsAVENT

bottleandteatbrush,soldseparately.

● Placeinboilingwaterforveminutesor

steriliseusingaPhilipsAventelectricor

microwavesteamsteriliser.Consultthe

steriliserusermanualfordetails.

● Ifsterilisersolutionisused,donotleaveteats

submergedforlongerthantherecommended

timeasthiscanweakentheteat.

● Donotplacefeedingbottlesinaheated

drierorsterilisingcabinet.

6. Storage

● Keepsmallpartsoutofthereachofchildren.

● Keepbottlesandcomponentsawayfrom

heatsourcesanddirectsunlightasthiscan

weakenthebottleandcomponents.
