About ThisProduct

Thisproductisamonoamplifierforsubwoofer. If

both L(left) andR(right)channelsareconnected

to theRCA inputofthis product, outputismixed

because this product is a mono amplifier.

Before connecting/

installing the amplifier

WARNING

!Slots andopeningsin thecabinetareprovided

forventilationtoensurereliableoperation of

the product, andto protectitfromoverheat-

ing. To preventfirehazard,theopenings

should never be blocked or covered with items

(suchas papers, floormat, cloths).

!Thisunitisforvehicleswitha12 Vbatteryand

negative grounding. Beforeinstalling inre-

creational vehicles, trucks orbuses, checkthe

battery voltage.

!When installingthisunit,makesuretocon-

nectthe ground wire first.Ensure that the

ground wireisproperlyconnectedtometal

parts ofthecarsbody.The groundwireofthe’

one ofthisunit must beconnectedtothecar

separately withdifferentscrews. Ifthescrew

fortheground wireloosensorfalls out, it

could result in fire, generation of smoke or

malfunction.

!Be sure to installthefuse to the battery wire.

!Alwaysuse a fuse oftherating prescribed.

The use ofanimproperfuse couldresult in

overheating and smoke, damage to the pro-

ductandinjury, includingburns.

!Check theconnectionsofthepowersupply

and speakers ifthe fuseofthe separately sold

battery wire or the amplifierfuse blows.Deter-

mine and resolve the cause,then replace the

fuse with andidenticalequivalent.

!Always installtheamplifieronaflatsurface.

Donot install the amplifier on a surface that

isnot flatoronasurfacewithaprotrusion.

Doing so couldresultinmalfunction.

!When installingtheamplifier, donotallow

parts such as extra screws to get caught be-

tween theamplifierandtheautomobile.

Doing so couldcause malfunction.

!Donot allow this unit to come into contact

with liquids.Electricalshockcouldresult.

Also, damagetothisunit,smoke,andover-

heating couldresult from contact with liquids.

The surfaces oftheamplifierandanyattached

speakers mayalsoheatupandcauseminor

burns.

!Intheeventofanyabnormality, thepower

supply to the amplifier is cut off to prevent

equipment malfunction. Ifthisoccurs, switch

the systempoweroffandcheckthepower

supply andspeakerconnections. Ifyouareun-

able todetermine the cause, please contact

your dealer.

leave spacearound theamplifierforventila-

tion toimproveheatradiation. Andinstalltoa

location whereitcannotbetouchedduring

operation.

gine is at rest or idlingmay exhaust the bat-

tery.

!Connect eitherofthreesubwooferstotheam-

plifier;1:asubwooferwitha300 W(GM-

D8701) /500W(GM-D9701) orlargernominal

inputandanimpedance4 W, 2:asubwoofer

witha500 W(GM-D8701)/800 W(GM-D9701)

orlargernominalinputandanimpedance2 W

or3: asubwooferwitha800 W(GM-D8701)/

1 200 W(GM-D9701)orlargernominalinput

the above ranges, the subwoofermay catch

fire,emit smoke or become damaged.

This product has protection function.When this

product detectssomethingabnormal, thefollow-
