CARE AND MAINTENANCE

To clean the reel, first rinse off any dirt or grit in cool

fresh water.

Use a cloth or toothbrush to carefully remove all sand

and grit from the reel with warm soapy water and rinse

again.

Separate the spool from the frame and dry thoroughly.

Once dry, reduce the drag pressure to the lowest setting

and store in the reel case.

Always store reel away from extreme heat.

After using in saltwater, always take the time to clean

your reel. Saltwater can leave a residue that will harden

over time if not properly cleaned and dried.

RETRIEVAL CONVERSION

1Remove the spool from the frame by removing the

spool lock nut.

2Using a small phillips head screwdriver, remove the

screw in the hub end cap from the end of the main

shaft.

3With the inside of the frame facing up, remove the hub/

clutch bearing cover and hub end cap. (Take care not to

tip the reel over to avoid losing the clicker assembly).

4Slide the hex shaped clutch bearing off the shaft and

flip the bearing to reverse the retrieve direction.

5Re-assemble the hub/clutch bearing cover, hub end

cap, and spool. (Ensure that the tabs on the underside

of the hub end cap screw align with the slot in the end

of the main shaft, and that it is securely tightened.)

6 Assure correct retrieve direction and smooth operation.
