FIlter

To clean the filter remove by grasping firmly between your thumb and

forefinger and gently twisting off starting at either the right or left edge.

To install the filter grasp between your thumb and forefinger and press the

filter slot onto the tab of the lid cover.

NEVER REMOVE OR INSTALL THE FILTER WHEN THE KETTLE IS HOT

Exterior

· Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior.

· DO NOTuse abrasive cleaners. Dry exterior thoroughly before use.

· DO NOTimmerse kettle or power base in water or other liquid.

Descaling

Under normal use, mineral deposits will form on the inside of the kettle and

will coat the element. Scale, which has accumulated inside the kettle must be

removed by boiling equal parts of white vinegar and water (500ml/ 2 cups of

each is recommended). Once the water has boiled, allow the mixture to stand

several hours or overnight. Empty out mixture and fill kettle to the MAX level

with fresh water. Bring water to a boil and discard. For heavy scale build-up,

use a solution of pure vinegar, and let stand overnight. Empty out vinegar and

fill kettle to the max level with fresh water. Bring water to a boil and discard.

NOTE:This descaling process should be repeated once a month
