Description
The DT 60xx Digital Transmitter is the central modulator unit in the DIS digital infra-
red system. The system allows participants to listen on headphones to the confer-
ence in a variety of languages. Audio is transmitted wirelessly to the receiver, where
each individual can select the channel and adjust the volume to the headphones.
The system is useful in a variety of installations, such as multipurpose halls, hotels,
or conference centers.
The DT 60xx Digital Transmitter accepts audio from CU 5905/6105/6110 Central
Units, the AO 6004/6008 Audio Output Units or other audio sources, and modulates
these signals onto RF carrier frequencies between 2-8 MHz. These carriers are then
transmitted to the RA 60xx Digital Infrared Radiators for line-of-sight wireless digital
language distribution to the DR 60xx Digital Receivers.
DT 60xx is available in two model variations:
Model Name Number of Channels
DT 60088
DT 603232
The DIS Digital IR system can transmit audio in four modes. The standard quality
