ultra-lowI

synchronousbuckconverterwithhigh

efficiencyoverwideinputvoltageandloadcurrent

ranges.Withintegratedhigh-sideandlow-sidepower

MOSFETs,upto500mAofoutputcurrentcanbe

deliveredatfixedoutputvoltagesof3.3Vor5V,or

anadjustableoutput.Theconverterisdesignedto

simplifyimplementationwhileprovidingoptionsto

optimizetheperformanceforthetargetapplication.

Pulsefrequencymodulation(PFM)modeisselected

foroptimallight-loadefficiencyorconstanton-time

(COT)controlfornearlyconstantoperating

frequency.Bothcontrolschemesdonotrequireloop

compensationwhileprovidingexcellentlineandload

transientresponseandshortPWMon-timeforlarge

step-downconversionratios.

Thehigh-sideP-channelMOSFETcanoperateat

100%dutycycleforlowestdropoutvoltageanddoes

notrequireabootstrapcapacitorforgatedrive.Also,

thecurrentlimitsetpointisadjustabletooptimize

inductorselectionforaparticularloadcurrent

requirement.Selectableandadjustablestart-up

timingoptionsincludeminimumdelay(nosoftstart),

internallyfixed(900μs),andexternallyprogrammable
