TheLP8756x-Q1deviceisdesignedtomeetthe

power-managementrequirementsofthelatest

processorsandplatformsinvariousautomotive

powerapplications.Thedevicecontainsfourstep-

downDC/DCconvertercores,whichareconfigured

asa4-phaseoutput,3-phaseand1-phaseoutputs,

2-phaseand2-phaseoutputs,one2-phaseandtwo

1-phaseoutputs,orfour1-phaseoutputs.Thedevice

iscontrolledbyanI

C-compatibleserialinterfaceand

byenablesignals.

Theautomaticpulse-width-modulation(PWM)to

pulsed-frequency-modulation(PFM)operation(AUTO

mode),togetherwiththeautomaticphaseaddingand

phaseshedding,maximizesefficiencyoverawide

output-currentrange.TheLP8756x-Q1supports

remotedifferential-voltagesensingformultiphase

outputstocompensateIRdropbetweentheregulator

outputandthepoint-of-load(POL)improvingthe

accuracyoftheoutputvoltage.Theswitchingclock

canbeforcedtoPWMmodeandalsosynchronized

toanexternalclocktominimizethedisturbances.

TheLP8756x-Q1devicesupportsload-current

measurementwithouttheadditionofexternalcurrent-

senseresistors.Thedevicealsosupports

programmablestart-upandshutdowndelaysand

sequencessynchronizedtoenablesignals.The

sequencescanincludeGPIOsignalstocontrol

externalregulators,loadswitches,andprocessor

reset.Duringstart-upandvoltagechange,thedevice

controlstheoutputslewratetominimizeoutput-

voltageovershootandin-rushcurrent.
