reductionelementismadefromanon-semiconductorelement,whichinitselfhasaverylow

harmonicdistortionandnoneofthenon-linearityproblemsinvolvedwhenusingmost

semiconductorelements.Furthermorethereisnolong-termdegradationoftheelementthus

givingitalmostinnitelife.Thiselementisplacedaftertheinput-transformerofthecompressor

andfollowedbyanalltube-basedamplierwithagainof-

dBto+30dB.

Thusthesignalisnotfedthroughanysemiconductorcircuitryonitswaytotheoutput.

Theamplierconsistsoftwotubes(valves)inpush-pullconguration(oneECC83asthe

pre-ampandphasesplitter,andoneECC82astheoutputstage),andanoutputtransformer.

Thepowersupplyforthepre-ampandphasesplitterarestabilizedandtheheatersofboth

tubes(valves)arefedwithastabilizedDCvoltage.

Thewholeamplier(includinginputandoutputtransformer)andthepowersuppliesareplaced

ononePC-board.

THESIDECHAIN:
