Warning! NEVER look into the binoculars directly
towards the sun or laser light sources. It can dam-
age eyes permanently!
Adjust the binoculars for correct eye distance
The distance between the eyes varies from person to
person. Adjust the distance between the oculars so
that they perfectly t your eyes.
Hold the binoculars in front of your eyes and adjust
the distance between the oculars (B) by folding the
oculars inward/outward until you can see one clear
view.
Adjust the focus
1. Cover the right front lens with your hand. Turn the
focusing knob (C) until you see the object that the
binoculars are directed toward clearly in the left
ocular.
2. Cover the left front lens with your hand and turn the
adjustment ring on the right ocular until you can see
the object clearly again.
3. The binoculars are now adjusted for your eyes. The
binoculars have a diopter scale (A) for adjusted eye
correction.
4. Adjust the focus with the focusing knob (C).
Eye cups
Some binoculars have eye cups (D) of rubber that can
be folded down if you would like to view while wearing
glasses. The distance is then shortened between the
ocular lenses and the eye, and even a person wearing
glasses can take advantage of the binoculars full view
eld.
Carry strap
Make sure the carry strap is securely fastened to the
binoculars before you hang them around your neck.
Storing and cleaning the binoculars
1. Always store the binoculars in their case with the lens
protectors mounted on when not used.
2. Clean the binoculars with a dust brush or a ne lint
free cloth.
3. If the lenses are very dirty you can exceptionally use
rubbing alcohol to remove e.g. nger prints, never
spray the uid directly on the lens or ocular, only
on the cleaning cloth, then use the cloth only for
cleaning the lenses.
4. Store the binoculars in a dry place.
Note! Never try to dismantle the binoculars or to
clean them internally.
