• Leanitslightlybackwardsinordertoholdthechildinmoreeffectively.

• Mountthechildseatfacingfront.

• Donot usethechildseat on mopeds,motorscooters,motorcycles, electricbicycles,racing

bicyclesorbicycleswithsuspensions.

• Checkthatnolimbsorclothesofthechildorthecyclistcanbecometrappedinthemovingparts

ofthebicycleorchildseat(e.g.inthebrakes).

• Checkthatthechildcannotinsertitsngersbetweenthespringsofthesaddle.Useasaddle

coverorasaddlewithinternalsprings.

• Checkthatthechildcannotinsertitsngersorfeetbetweenthewheelspokesofthebicycle.

Werecommendtheuseofawheelguard.

• Checkthatthechildcannotreachanysharporpointedparts(e.g.frayedbrakecables).

• Alwaysfastenthechild’sseatbeltandthefootrestties.

• Checkthatthechildisalwayswrappedupwarmlyenough,morethanthecyclistandthathe/

sheisprotectedintheeventofrain.

• Useanapprovedhelmetsuitablefortheheadsizeofthechild.

• Nevercarrytwochildrenatthesametime.

• Thecyclistmustbeatleast16yearsold.

• Alwaysfastenallthestraps,evenwhenthereisnochildbeingcarried.

• Checkthatthestrapsdonotreachthewheelsorothermovingpartsonthebicycle,bothwith

andwithoutchildonboard.

• Neverleavethechildseatinthesun:theheatedplasticcouldburnthechild.

• Removethechildseatfromthebicycleeachtimethelattermustbetransportedontheoutside

ofavehicle(e.g.onacarroof,onatowedtrailerorbehindamotorhome).

• Periodicallycheckthebicycle:tyres,brakes,lights,etc.

• Periodicallywashthechildseatwithsoapandwater.Donotuseaggressivesubstances.

MOUNTING THE CHILD SEAT

Donotmountthechildseatwhenthechildissittinginit.

Makesureyouhaveallthecomponentsbeforeproceedingwithassembly(g.A).

Mounting the support block

Mountthesupportblockaroundthebicycleframe,asillustrated(g.B).Positiontheblockaccording

tothedirectionthatthebicycletravelsin(yellowbuttonfacingforwards).

WARNING: Do not mount the block on the handlebars.

WARNING: Make sure that the brake cables and gears do not get in the way of the block.

Twodifferentlysizedplasticreducersareavailable:choosethemostsuitableforyourframe(g.C).

Tightenthenutslooselyandevenly(g.D).

Thesupportblockmustremainfreetorunalongthebicycleframe;tightenrmlyinplaceonlywhen

thecorrectpositionforthechildseathasbeendetermined(seeparagraph:MOUNTING THE CHILD

SEAT ON THE BICYCLE).

Mounting the support fork on the child seat

Positionthesupportforkbeneaththebaseofthechildseat(g.E).

Insertthescrewsintothebaseofthechildseat(g.F).

Positionthexingplatebeneaththechildseat(g.G).

Tightenthenutstofastenthesupportfork(g.H).

Mounting the child seat on the bicycle

Keeptheyellowbuttonontheblockpresseddownandinsertthesupportforkintheholesonthe

upperpartoftheblock(g.I).

Warning:onceinserted,makesurethattheyellowbuttonhasclickedintoplace,otherwiseitmeans

thattheforkhasnotbeeninsertedcorrectly:repeattheprocess.

Determinethebestpositionforthechildseat:

• Theremustbesufcientroomforthecyclisttosteerandpedalcomfortably.

• Checkthatthecyclist’skneesdonotknockagainstthechildseatwhenpedalling.

• Checkthatthehandlebarsdonotgetcaughtinthechildseatwhensteering.

• Leavesufcientroomtobeabletomovethechildinandoutofthechildseatcomfortably.

• Thechildmusthavesufcientlegroomduringtransit.

• Makesurethatthechildseatdoesnot getinthewayofthepedals,brakes,gears andother

movingpartsofthebicycle.

Lineupthechildseatwiththeaxisofthebicycle.

Tightenallnutsproperly.

Warning: Check periodically that the screws are properly tightened. They can loosen with use.

Removing the child seat from the bicycle

Keeptheyellowbuttonontheblockpresseddownandremovethesupportfork,pullingitupwards.

INSTALLING AND ADJUSTING THE FOOTRESTS

Donotcarryouttheseoperationswhenthechildisinthechildseat.

Installing the footrests

Taketheleftfootrest(withthesymbolLprintedontheback).

Insertintotheverticalslotoftheleftlegshield.

Pushupwardsasfarasitwillgo.

Takeholdofthelockingleverfortheleftfootrest(withthesymbolSXprintedontheback).

Pushthelockingleverintotheholebehindtherest.Insertfromtheoutsideandpushrightin(g.L).

Closethelockingleverbypushingdownwardsuntilyouhearaclick.

Repeatthesameprocessesfortherightfootrest.

Adjusting the height of the footrests

Beforeusingthechildseat,checkthatthechild’sfeetrestcompletelyonthefootrests.

Toadjusttheheightofthefootrests:

• Turnthelockingleverbehindthebracketupward(g.M).

• Movethefootrestupwardordownwardtothedesiredposition.

• Closethelockingleverbypushingdownwardsuntilyouhearaclick.

FINAL CHECK

Donotcarryoutthesetestswiththechildinthechildseat.

Pushthebicycleforwardsforafewmetres,makingsurethatnoneofthemovingpartstouchthe

childseat,therearenobeltshangingloosenearthewheelandthatthebrakesandpedalsstillwork

properly.

PLACING THE CHILD IN THE SEAT

Pressthebuttonon thecentralbuckle untilyouhear aclick(g.N). Pullthebuckle upwardsto

extractitfromitsseat.

Placethechildinthechildseat.Pullthesafetybeltsdownoverthechild’shead(g.O).

Fastenthecentralbuckle(g.P).Pushthebuckleallthewayintotheopeninguntilyouhearaclick.

Adjusttheloopsonthebeltsothatthebelttssnuglyonthechild’sbody(g.Q).

Placethechild’sfeetinthefootrests.

Fastenthelacesbyhookingthemoverthepinontherearofthefootrest(g.R).

Whentravelling,periodicallycheckthatthechildisproperlybelted.

REMOVING THE CHILD FROM THE SEAT

Unhookthelaceswhichkeepthefeetinplace.

Pushthebuttononthecentralbuckleuntilyouhearaclick.

Removethebucklebypullingupwards.Pullthesafetybeltsupoverthechild’shead.

• Nonlasciareilseggiolinosottoilsole:laplasticasurriscaldatapotrebbescottareilbambino.

• Smontare il seggiolino dalla bicicletta ogni qualvolta la si debba trasportare all’esterno di un

veicolo(es.sultettodiun’auto,suuncarrellotrainatoodietrouncamper).

• Controllareperiodicamentelabicicletta:pneumatici,freni,luci,ecc.

• Lavareperiodicamenteilseggiolinoconacquaesapone.Nonusaresostanzeaggressive.

MONTAGGIO DEL SEGGIOLINO

Noneffettuareleoperazionidimontaggioconilbambinosulseggiolino.

Identicaretuttelecomponentiprimadiprocederealmontaggio(g.A).

Montaggio del blocchetto di supporto

Montare il blocchetto di supporto attorno al telaio della bicicletta, come illustrato nella (g. B).

Orientareilblocchettosecondoladirezionedimarciadellabicicletta(pulsantegiallodavanti).

ATTENZIONE: Non montare il blocchetto sullo stelo del manubrio.

ATTENZIONE: Veri care che i cavi di freni e cambio non interferiscano con il blocchetto.

Sonodisponibilidueriduttoriinplasticadidimensionidifferenti:sceglierequellopiùadattoalvostro

telaio(g.C).

Stringereleggermenteeduniformementeidadi(g.D).

Ilblocchettodisupportodeverimanereliberodiscorrerelungoiltelaiodellabicicletta;ilssaggio

denitivo avverrà una volta individuata la posizione corretta per il seggiolino (vedi paragrafo:

MONTAGGIO DEL SEGGIOLINO SULLA BICI).

Montaggio della forcella di sostegno sul seggiolino

Posizionarelaforcelladisostegnosottolasedutadelseggiolino(g.E).

Inlarelevitinellaseduta(g.F).

Posizionarelapiastrinadissaggiosottoilseggiolino(g.G).

Stringereidadiperssarelaforcelladisostegno(g.H).

Montaggio del seggiolino sulla bicicletta

Tenerepremutoilpulsantegiallosulblocchettoeinserirelaforcelladisostegnoneiforinellaparte

superioredelblocchetto(g.I).

Attenzione: ad inserimento avvenuto, assicurarsi che il pulsante giallo sia scattato. Se non è

scattato,laforcellanonèinseritacorrettamente:ripeterel’operazione.

Individuarelaposizionemiglioreperilseggiolino:

• Ilciclistadeveaverespazioasufcienzapersterzareepedalarecomodamente.

• Controllarecheleginocchianonurtinoilseggiolinoquandosipedala.

• Controllarecheilmanubriononrimangaincastratonelseggiolinoquandosisterza.

• Lasciare spazio a sufcienza per potere far sedere il bambino nel seggiolino e toglierlo

comodamente.

• lbambinodeveavere,duranteilviaggio,spazioasufcienzaperlegambe.

• Vericarecheilseggiolinononinterferiscacon pedali,freni,cambioedaltrepartimobili della

bicicletta.

Allineareilseggiolinoall’assedellabicicletta.

Stringereafondoidadi.

Attenzione: Controllare periodicamente il serraggio delle viti. I  ssaggi si possono allentare

con l’uso.

Smontaggio del seggiolino dalla bicicletta

Tenerepremutoilpulsantegiallosulblocchettoeslarelaforcelladisostegnotirandolaversol’alto.

INSTALLAZIONE E REGOLAZIONE DEI SUPPORTI PER I PIEDI

Noneffettuarequesteoperazioniconilbambinosulseggiolino.

Installazione dei supporti per i piedi

Prendereilsupportoperilpiedesinistro(simboloLimpressonellaparteposteriore).

Inlarlonellafessuraverticaledellagambasinistra.

Spingerloalmassimoversol’alto.

Prenderelalevadibloccaggioperilsupportosinistro(simboloSXimpressonellaparteposteriore).

Inlarelalevadibloccaggionelforopresentedietroilsupporto.Introdurladall’esternoespingerla

noinfondo(g.L).

Chiuderelalevadibloccaggio,spingendolaversoilbassonoachenonsiavverteunoscatto.

Ripeterelemedesimeoperazioniperilsupportoperilpiededestro.

Regolazione in altezza dei supporti per i piedi

Primadiutilizzareilseggiolino,controllarecheipiedidelbambinopogginocompletamentesuisupporti.

Perregolarel’altezzadeisupportiperipiedi:

• Ruotareversol’altolalevadibloccaggiodietroilsupporto(g.M).

• Spostareilsupportoversol’altooversoilbasso,noaraggiungerelaposizionedesiderata.

• Chiuderelalevadibloccaggio,spingendolaversoilbassonoachenonsiavverteunoscatto.
