Safety Instructions
Be careful when handling and operating the machine, as the blades are very sharp. Always keep
your hands away from the blades.
Operation
1) Remove ring pin from lockdown position hole.
2) Insert ring pin into hole on handle.
3) Lift and hold the handle in the upright position and place a head of lettuce on the blade
surface.
4)î Removeîhandsîandîîngersîfromîtheîcuttingîarea.
5) Firmly push the handle down so that the push plate forces the product completely
through the blades.
6) Clean the machine after chopping is complete using the cleaning instructions below.
7) Do not attempt to cut produce larger than the surface of the blade assembly.
Cleaning and Maintenance
1) Remove ring pin and use handle to lift push plate off of the guide rods.
2) Remove hold down clips and remove the blade assembly from the frame.
3) Use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe down the frame. Clean the push plate and blade
assembly thoroughly.
4) Make sure frame, blade assembly, and all other components are dried thoroughly.
5) Replace blade assembly, and then re-attach hold down clips.
6)î Whenînecessary,îlubricateîguideîrodsîwithîmineralîoil,îfoodîgradeîgrease,îorîparafîn.îDoî
not use cooking oil.
7) Replace push plate then return handle to down position. Replace the ring pin for safe
storage.
