Please read theentire instruction manual before using and save it for future use. We apologise for

Theproduct is rated IP44 and is suitable for outdoor use. Installation should only be carried out
by aqualified electrician. Do not use amore powerful bulb than thelight fitting is intended for.
Thelight should be connected to anearthed 230 V power point. For best results and your own
safety, we kindly ask you to follow these instructions carefully. Do not try to modify theproduct in
any way.
Positioning
When choosing aplace to mount thelight it is important to see that thelight is not more than
± 4° from thehorizontal lengthways (see fig. A). Thelight must NOT be fastened to or pointed
towards aflammable surface. (see figs. B and C).
Installation
Installation should only be carried out by aqualified electrician.
Before beginning any electrical work, make sure that theelectric cables are not live by turning off
thepower and therespective fuse for thecircuit.
1. Use thewall bracket as atemplate for marking out thescrew holes. Use a8 mm drill bit and
drill to adepth of about 4 cm. Mount thewall bracket using suitable screws and wall plugs.
Attach thelight temporarily to thebracket. If you are working from below thelight, it might be
easier to attach thelight upside down whilst completing step 2 and 3, below.
2. Remove thecover plate from theconnection box on theback of thelight and feed in thepower
cable through thecable gland in thebottom of theconnection box. Pass thecable under
thecable clamp and connect thecable to theterminal block as follows:

3. Tighten thecable clamp/strain relief and then thecable gland for awatertight seal. It might
be necessary to apply asealant to help stop moisture from getting into thelight fitting.
REMARKS
If you have turned thelight upside down it is now time to turn it theright way up. Make sure
that thecable enters thelight fitting from below. If necessary, make aU-bend in thecable
before it enters thelight fitting.
4. Insert thelight bulb as follows: Undo thescrews on thetop of thelight and open thefront.
Insert thebulb in thespring-loaded bulb holder and make sure that thebulb makes agood
contact with theterminals. Do not touch any part of thebulb with your bare hands. If thebulb
should accidentally touch your hands it must be cleaned using methanol and alint-free cloth.
Close thelamp cover and tighten thescrews. Do not tighten thecover too much, theglass
might crack.
5. Adjusting thebeam angle: undo thenuts on theside, adjust thelight beam to thedesired
angle and tighten thenuts again.
6. Replace thefuse and turn thepower back on.
Warning: Do not touch thelight until it has cooled down.
