off. Be sure to install the Mid-Size Plate with Duplex Surge Spressor in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes. up

Receptacle side of the Midize Plate should be 3” from the stud but no -S
more than 5” (review picture carefully).

Using the template supplied (see page 3 of instruction sheet), trace the opening needed. Using a drywall saw,
cut a hole in the drywall the size of the template. before tracing your opening. See Figure 1Remember, the
plates are designed to be mounted between the studs.
