Important: Read this leaet in full before using this product
and retain it for future use. Failure to follow these instructions
may result in injury or damage to the user or the product.
• Before using the soldering iron check to ensure nothing is
missing, broken or damaged.
• DO NOT leave the soldering iron on unattended and keep
out of the reach of children.
• Always unplug from the power supply when not in use and
before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance.
• DO NOT put the hot soldering iron down on any delicate or
ammable surfaces.
• DO NOT use the iron in wet conditions or expose it to rain.
• DO NOT dismantle or modify the soldering iron and only
use for its intended use.
• Objects to be soldered must be clean.
• Conductors should be cleaned with steel wool or ne
sandpaper.
• Ensure tips are tinned before commencing to solder.
Occasional re-tinning will ensure good solder connections.
1. Apply the tip to the work, then apply solder to the work at
the point of tip contact. Molten solder must cool
undisturbed. Blowing on the solder will speed up setting.
2. Do not use more solder than necessary. Use just enough to
make a good connection.
3. Use resin core solder for radio and electrical connections.
4. Use acid core solder for mechanical connections and only
where ux residue may be washed and cleaned away.
5. After using with acid core solder, clean the soldering iron
thoroughly.
At the end of its working life, dispose of the product responsibly
and in line with local regulations. Recycle where possible.
