Safety
• The speaker may be used by children aged 8 or over provided they have been
instructed in thesafe use of theproduct and that they understand thehazards and
risks involved. Cleaning and maintenance may be carried out by children aged 8 or
over, but only under adult supervision. Keepthespeaker and its mains lead out of
reach of children under theage of8.
• The speaker may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capability, lack of experience or knowledge which could jeopardise their safety,
provided they have been instructed in thesafe use of theproduct and understand
thehazards involved. Neverlet children play with thespeaker.
• The speaker should not be taken apart or modified. Nevertry to open thecasing
of thespeaker. Thecasing houses dangerous current-carrying non-insulated
components. Contact with these can lead to fire or electric shock.
• Do not cover thespeaker. Adequate ventilation with adistance of at least 5cm
between ventilation ports and thesurrounding area is necessary to prevent
thespeaker from overheating.
• The speaker must only be connected to a100–240V, 50/60 Hz wall socket.
• Make sure that thewall socket to which themains adaptor is connected is easily
accessible, since this is theonly way to completely disconnect thespeaker from
themains supply.
• Place thespeaker on astable, flat surface.
• Do not touch thespeaker if your hands are moist orwet.
• Do not place thespeaker in anunstable position where there is arisk that it
may fall into water or other liquids. Donot place any objects containing liquid on
thespeaker, such as vases, drinks, etc.
• Do not place thespeaker in constant sunlight or near naked flames such as wood
stoves, lit candles, etc.
• Place thespeaker where there is no risk of people tripping over themainslead.
• This product is intended for indoor useonly.
• Never subject thespeaker to high temperature, dust, heavy vibration, impacts,
damp or moisture.
• Do not abuse themains lead. Donot jerk themains lead, grip and pull theadapter
out of thesocket when disconnecting thespeaker. Makesure that themains
adaptor does not come into contact with heat, sharp edges or is crushed in anyway.
