Preparationforuse

Openthebatterycompartmentbypushingthecoverontherearofthe

instrumentdownwardasindicatedbythearrow.Removethebatteryinsulating

stripandtheprotectivefilmcoverontheLCDdisplay.

SelectºForºCunitsusingtherearselectionswitch.

Audiblealarm

Selectorusingtherearselectionswitchtoturntheaudiblealarmonor

off.

Maximum/Minimumdisplay

1.PresstheMAX/MINbutton.ThehighestvaluemeasuredsincetheReset

buttonwaslastpressedappearsonthedisplay.

2.PresstheMAX/MINbuttonagaintodisplaythelowestvaluemeasuredsince

theResetbuttonwaslastpressed.

3.PresstheMAX/MINbuttonagaintoreturntonormaldisplayoperation.

Resetting(clearing)theMAX/MINmemory

1.PresstheMAX/MINbuttontoentertheMAX/MINmode.

2.PressandholdtheRESETbuttonfor1secondtoclearthememoryand

startrecordingnewmax/minvalues.

Settingthe%RHAlarmLimits.

1.SimultaneouslyPressandHOLDtheMAX/MINandRESETbuttonuntil“HI”

andthestoredHI%RHlimitappearsflashing.

2.PresstheRESETbuttontosettheHi%RHlimit.Holdthebuttoninforrapid

adjustment.

3.PresstheMax/Minbutton.“LO”andthestoredLO%RHlimitwillappear

flashing

4.PresstheRESETbuttontosettheLO%RHlimit.

5.PresstheMax/Minbuttontoturnonoroffthealarm.Thealarmiconwill

appearinthedisplaywhenthealarmisactive.

6.PressandholdtheRESETbuttontosavethesettingsandexitthemode.

Alert

If%RHexceedstheHIlimitorgoesbelowtheLOlimitthealertwillbe

activated.Thealertconsistoftwoflashing‘ALERT”iconsintheupperdisplay,

aflashingredlight(for60seconds)andanaudiblebuzzer(for60seconds)

Calibration

RHCalibration

1.Insertmeter’ssensorintoahumiditychamber.Thereferenceshouldbe>70%

RH.

2.Checkthereadingafter1hour.

3.AdjusttheRHcalibrationpotin½turnincrements,waitingforthedisplayto

updateaftereachadjustment,untilthereadingiswithintheaccuracy

specification.

TemperatureCalibration

1.Placethesensorinastabilizedenvironmentofapproximately21°C.

2.Checkthereadingafter1hour.

3.Adjustthetemperaturecalibrationpotin½turnincrements,waitingforthe

displaytoupdateaftereachadjustment,untilthereadingiswithinthe

accuracyspecification.

BatteryReplacement

Openthebatterycompartmentbyslidingthebatterycoverontherearofthe

instrumentdownwardasindicatedbythearrow.Replacethe1.5V‘AA’batteries

andreplacethecover.

You,astheenduser,arelegallybound(Batteryordinance)to

returnallusedbatteriesandaccumulators;disposalinthe

householdgarbageisprohibited!

Youcanhandoveryourusedbatteries/accumulators,

gratuitously,atthecollectionpointsforourbranchesinyour

communityorwhereverbatteries/accumulatorsaresold!
