3. Remove thumbscrew and washer from the back
to open the tool halves, if necessary.
4. Remove nut and

5. Insert the drive
axle and handle

the drive shaft.

logo facing up, ensuring they are fully seated.
7. Securely tighten with the nut.
8. Reinstall the thumbscrew and washer while
squeezing cutter body halves together if removed
for assembly.

MONTAGE DE L'OUTIL
1. Retirer le couvercle de rangement du bouton de
la poignée.
2. Retirer la lame de la cartouche de rangement et
remplacer le couvercle.
3. Retirer la vis à oreilles et la rondelle de la partie
arrière pour ouvrir l’outil à moitié, si nécessaire.
4. Retirer l' écrou et les rondelles de l’assemblage
de la poignée.
5. Insérer l’essieu
d'entrainement et
l’assemblage de la
poignée à travers
l’arbre moteur.
6. Mettre la rondelle,
la lame et la rodelle
sur l’essieu avec
le lo g o t yp e de
MILWAUKEE vers
le haut, tout en s’assurant qu’ils sont mis bien
au fond.
7. Serrer fermement à l’aide l'écrou.
8. Réinstaller la vis à oreilles et la rondelle pendant
que vous pressez les moitiés du corps du coupe-
câbles l’une contre l’autre si vous les avez retirées
pour l’assemblage.

ENSAMBLAJE
1. Quite la tapa de almacenamiento de la perilla de
la empuñadura.
2. Quite la hoja del cartucho de almacenamiento y
cambie la tapa.
3. Quite el tornillo de mariposa y la arandela de la
parte posterior para abrir la herramienta a la mitad,
esto en caso de ser necesario.
4. Quite la tuerca y las arandelas del ensamble de
empuñadura.
5. Meta el cigüeñal
de accionamiento
y el ensamble de
empuñadura por

6. -Ponga la aran
dela, la hoja y la
arandela en el eje
con el logotipo de

OPERATION
Set Cable Size
MC size lever has (2) size options: "Standard MC"
and "Small MC".
1. Slide lever to appropriate size.
2. Clamping stud should be fully pushed out for
"Standard MC" and fully pushed in for "Small MC".
Cable Clamping and Cutting
1. Insert the cable into the channel.
2. Squeeze auto-clamping lever until clamping stud
reaches bottom of cable groove.
3. Hold tool near cutting head and squeeze until
blade makes contact with cable.
WARNING
The blade MUST NOT nick a wire
after adjusting the depth of the cut.
A nicked wire can result in an arc that leads to a re.
Make a trial cut to test.
NOTICE
Do not apply too much pressure while
pushing cutting blade against the cable to
avoid tool damage.
4. Rotate the crank handle clockwise and adjust
pressure to cut through the armored casing. The
cut is all the way through when there is no more
resistance.
5. Release pressure from clamp.
Adjust Depth of Cut
If the blade is not cutting through the armor, the depth
may need to be adjusted.
1. Use a 3/32 hex wrench to turn set screw in the top
housing counter-clockwise a 1/4 turn.
2. Make trial cut and adjust set screw until blade
cuts casing.
Removing Armored Casing
After cutting the armored casing, remove from cutter
and twist casing counter-clockwise to separate. If
casing does not separate, the cut did not go through.
Adjust depth and recut.
MAINTENANCE
Blade Storage and Replacement
The blade storage cartridge in the knob holds up to
six replacement blades. Refer to the assembly sec-
tion for installation instructions. To extend blade life,
lubricate the blade after replacing.
Cleaning
Keep tool clean, dry and free of oil or grease. Use
only mild soap and a damp cloth to clean, since
certain cleaning agents and solvents are harmful to
plastics and other insulated parts. Some of these
include gasoline, turpentine, lacquer thinner, paint
thinner, chlorinated cleaning solvents, ammonia and
household detergents containing ammonia. Never
use ammable or combustible solvents around tools.

Every MILWAUKEE hand tool is warranted to the original purchaser
from an authorized MILWAUKEE distributor only to be free from de-
fects in material and workmanship. Subject to certain exceptions,
MILWAUKEE will repair or replace any hand tool which, after exami-
nation, is determined by MILWAUKEE to be defective in material or
workmanship for the lifetime of the tool. Return the hand tool product
to a MILWAUKEE factory Service Center location freight prepaid and
insured, is required. A copy of the proof of purchase should be includ-
ed with the return product. This warranty does not apply to damage
that MILWAUKEE determines to be from, misuse, alterations, abuse,
normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance or accidents.

MANIEMENT
Préparation de la taille du câble
Le levier à taille MC comporte (2) options de taille :
« MC standard » et « Petit MC ».
1. Glisser le levier vers la taille correspondante.
2. Le goujon de serrage devra être totalement
poussé dehors pour le « MC standard » et totale-
ment au fond pour le « Petit MC ».
Serrage et coupage des câbles
1. Insérer le câble dans le canal.
2. Presser le levier à serrage automatique jusqu’à ce
que le goujon de serrage parvienne à se mettre
au fond de la fente du câble.
3. Tenir l’outil près de la tête de coupe et la presser
jusqu’à ce que la lame soit en contact avec le
câble.
AVERTISSEMENT
La lame NE DOIT PAS
ébrécher un câble après
avoir ajusté la profondeur de la coupe. Un câble
ébréché pourra causer un arc électrique, ce qui
mènera à un incendie. Eectuer une coupe d’essai
pour tester.
AVIS
Ne pas exercer trop de pression pendant que
la lame de coupe est poussée contre le câble,
ceci pour éviter d’endommager l’outil.
4. Faire tourner la poignée de la manivelle à droite et
ajuster la pression pour transpercer, d’une coupe,
l’enveloppe blindée. La coupe aura transpercé
quand il n’y aura plus de résistance.
5. Relâcher la pression de la pince.
Réglage de la profondeur de la coupe
Si la lame n’arrive pas à transpercer le blindage, il
sera possible qu’il faille régler la profondeur.
1. Utiliser une clé hexagonale de 2 mm (3 / 32) pour
faire tourner à gauche la vis de xation dans le
boîtier supérieure d’un quart de tour.
2. Eectuer une coupe d’essai et régler la vis de
fixation jusqu’à ce que la lame parvienne à
transpercer l’enveloppe.
Enlèvement de l’enveloppe blindée
Après avoir coupé l’enveloppe blindée, la retirer
du coupe-câbles et tordre l’enveloppe à gauche
pour la séparer. Si l’enveloppe ne se sépare pas, la
coupe ne l’a pas transpercée. Régler la profondeur
et couper à nouveau.
ENTRETIEN
Remplacement et rangement des lames
La cartouche de rangement des lames dans le
bouton est en mesure de porter jusqu’à six lames
de rechange. Pour en savoir plus sur les instructions
d’installation, se reporter à la section « Assemblage ».
Pour prolonger la vie utile de la lame, lubrier la lame
après l’avoir remplacée.
Nettoyage
Gardez les outil propres, à sec et exemptes d’huile ou
de graisse. Le nettoyage doit se faire avec un linge
humide et un savon doux. Certains nettoyants tels
l’essence, la térébenthine, les diluants à laque ou à
peinture, les solvants chlorés, l’ammoniaque et les
détergents d’usage domestique qui en contiennent
pourraient détériorer le plastique et l’isolation des
pièces. Ne laissez jamais de solvants inammables
ou combustibles auprès des outils.

OPERACION
Denición del tamaño de cable
La palanca de tamaño de MC cuenta con (2) op-
ciones de tamaño: "MC estándar" y "MC pequeño".
1. -Deslice la palanca hacia el tamaño correspon
diente.
2. -El pasador de jación debe encontrarse total
mente hacia afuera en "MC estándar" y estar
totalmente al fondo en "MC pequeño".
Fijación y corte de cables
1. Inserte el cable en el canal.
2. Apriete la palanca de jación automática hasta
que el pasador de jación llegue al fondo de la
ranura del cable.
3. Sostenga la herramienta cerca de la cabeza de
corte y apriétela hasta que la hoja esté en contacto
con el cable.
ADVERTENCIA
La hoja NO DEBE mellar un
cable después de haber
ajustado la profundidad del corte. Un cable mellado
puede ocasionar un arco eléctrico, lo que causaría
un incendio. Realice un corte de prueba para ex-
perimentar.
AVISO
No ejerza demasiada presión mientras
empuja la hoja de corte contra el cable,
esto con el n de evitar que la herramienta sufra
daños.
4. Gire la empuñadura de manivela a la derecha y
ajuste la presión para cortar la camisa blindada.
El corte se habrá realizado por completo cuando
no haya más resistencia.
5. Deje de ejercer presión en la pinza.
Ajuste de la profundidad de corte
Si la hoja no logra cortar el blindaje, es posible que
sea necesario ajustar la profundidad.
1. Use una llave hexagonal de 2 mm (3/32) para girar
a la izquierda el tornillo de jación en la carcasa
superior a un cuarto de vuelta.
2. Realice un corte de prueba y ajuste el tornillo de
jación hasta que la hoja corte la camisa.
Retiro de la camisa blindada
Después de haber cortado la camisa blindada,
quítela del cortacables y tuerza la camisa hacia la
izquierda para separarla. Si la camisa no se separa,
el corte no fue total. Ajuste la profundidad y vuelva
a realizar el corte.
MANTENIMIENTO
Cambio y almacenamiento de las hojas
El cartucho de almacenamiento de hojas en la
perilla puede guardar hasta seis hojas de repuesto.
Para más información acerca de las instrucciones
de instalación, consulte la sección "Armado". Para
prolongar la vida útil de la hoja, lubríquela después
de cambiarla.
Limpieza
Mantenga los herramienta, limpios, secos y libres
de aceite o grasa. Use solo jabón neutro y un trapo
húmedo para limpiar, p2-ya que algunos substancias y
solventes limpiadores son dañinos a los plásticos y
partes aislantes. Algunos de estos incluyen: gaso-
lina, turpentina,thíner, lacas, thíner para pinturas,
solventes para limpieza con cloro, amoníaco y
detergentes caseros que tengan amonia. Nunca
usa solventes inamables o combustibles cerca de
una herramienta.
