WEAPON SAFETY

FAILURE TO FOLLOW SAFETY AND OPERATING

MEASURES WHEN HANDLING A FIREARM OR THE

NIGHTSTICK WEAPON LIGHT WHEN MOUNTED ON A

FIREARM IS DANGEROUS AND CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS

INJURY, DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, OR DEATH.

yUse of a  rearm under any circumstance is inherently

dangerous. SERIOUS INJURY OR EVEN DEATH may

result without proper training in the safe handling of  rearms.

Proper training should be obtained from an accredited

 rearms safety program conducted by a quali ed instructor.

yRead, understand and follow all of the safety instructions

that come with your  rearm before attaching your new SFL.

yAlways assume every  rearm is loaded and treat that

 rearm as such.

yNever point a  rearm at anything that you are not willing

to destroy.

yNever service your  rearm or your weapon light when

mounted on a  rearm without  rst activating the weapon’s

safety (if applicable), removing the magazine, opening the

action and physically and visually inspecting to make sure

that no ammunition is installed in the  rearm.

BEFORE ATTACHING, INSPECTING OR

SERVICING THE LIGHT

WARNING: IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT SAFETY

MEASURES BE EMPLOYED AT ALL TIMES WHILE

HANDLING A FIREARM.

yEngage the safety on the  rearm (if applicable).

PROGRAM THE USER-SELECTABLE

SETTINGS

LASER MODELS

While holding down either the left or right side switch,

press and release the opposite side switch to cycle between

the modes: 1) white light only, 2) green laser only, or 3) white

light and green laser.

yCycle through each mode by continuing to hold one side

while pressing and releasing the opposite side.

yWhen the desired mode is selected, release the switches.

yThe setting will remain in the selected mode until

changed by the user.

ALL MODELS – BATTERY SAFE MODE

yPress and hold both switches at the same time for 3

seconds to enable or disable battery safe mode.

yAfter three seconds the light will  ash on and off 1 time to

con rm a change in the battery safe mode.

NOTE: The battery safe mode reverts to disabled when

batteries are removed or fully discharged.

ADJUST WINDAGE AND ELEVATION

(LASER MODELS)

yUse the tool included to turn the windage (side) and

elevation (bottom) screws to adjust the laser until it is

aligned with the top of the front sight post.

yAt the  ring range, re ne the point of aim to match the

point of impact at your desired distance.

GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS

yNOT FOR USE ABOVE HAZARDOUS LOCATIONS

yDO NOT use in explosive atmospheres, near  ammable

liquids, or where explosion proof lamps are required.

yDO NOT use in the proximity of vehicles or equipment

when there is a risk of  ammable liquids coming into

contact with the  ashlight.

yDO NOT expose the batteries to water or salt water, or

allow the batteries to get wet.

yDO NOT store the batteries with metallic objects that

may cause a short circuit.

yImmediately discontinue use of the batteries if they emit

an unusual smell, feel hot, change color, change shape or

appear abnormal in any way.

yKeep out of the reach of children.

ATTACHING THE STRAP

To attach the safety strap to the SFL, install the mounting

hardware initially with the underside of the strap facing

outward. Before tightening, rotate the strap so that the logo

faces outward. Tighten screw until snug.

LASER RADIATION

CAUTION: Use of controls or adjustments or performance

of procedures other than those speci ed herein may result in

hazardous radiation exposure.

WARNING: Laser Radiation maximum power measured at

less than 3.5mW. Avoid direct eye exposure. Do not stare into

beam. Do not turn the light on while looking directly into the bezel.

Aperture warning and Class 3R laser labels are located

on the bottom and back of the light as per illustrations below.

Complies with 21 CFR 1040.10 and 1040.11 except for

conformance with IEC 60825-1 Ed. 3., as described in Laser

Notice No. 56, date May 8, 2019. Manufactured at Longkou

The SFL Shotgun models with a green laser are not

intended to be serviced. Contact Bayco Customer Service if

product is not functioning properly. See warranty section for

more information.

WARRANTY

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

Bayco Products, Inc. warrants this product to be free

from defects in workmanship and materials for the original

purchaser’s lifetime. The Limited Lifetime Warranty includes the

LEDs, housing and lenses. Rechargeable batteries, chargers,

switches, electronics and included accessories are warranted

for a period of two years with proof of purchase. Normal wear

and failures which are caused by accidents, misuse, abuse,

faulty installation and lightning damage are excluded.

We will repair or replace this product should we determine

it to be defective. This is the only warranty, expressed or

implied, including any warranty of merchantability or  tness

for a particular purpose.

Retain your receipt for proof of purchase.

yRemove the magazine from the  rearm (if applicable).

yOpen the action and visually and physically inspect the

chamber to be sure it is empty.

yKeep the barrel pointed in a safe direction at all times and

never place your hand in front of the muzzle.

INSTALL THE OPTIONAL HAND STRAP

yBegin with the strap logo side down on the light.

yAlign the holes on the strap with the threaded holes on

the light, insert the screw/lock washer, then tighten gently.

yTwist the strap ends to turn logo outward which forms a

loop with the strap.

INSTALL THE LIGHT ONTO YOUR SHOTGUN

SAFETY WARNING: ALWAYS ENSURE SHOTGUN IS

SAFE AND UNLOADED BEFORE INSTALLING ONTO

SHOTGUN.

yEnsure the shotgun is unloaded. Remove barrel retention

cap on feed tube and remove barrel from action.

yUsing included universal fore-end locking nut wrench, line

up end with M (Mossberg) or R (Remington) that engages

the slots in the locking nut and remove.

ySlide pump handle off action tube. Install SFL weapon light

onto action tube.

yFor Mossberg 500/590/590A1 models with a 7.75” action

tube, use the included Mossberg Action Tube Spacer (SFL-

MSP) before installing locking nut.

yTighten action tube locking nut. Reinstall barrel and barrel

retention cap.

yEnsure shotgun action cycles smoothly and without

interference. If action is dif cult to cycle, re-check installation.

INSTALL THE BATTERIES

SAFETY WARNING: ALWAYS ENSURE SHOTGUN

IS SAFE AND UNLOADED BEFORE CHANGING THE

BATTERY.

yUnscrew and remove the battery cap.

yPlace the CR123A batteries into the battery carrier and

insert into the light.

yReplace the battery cap and turn until fully seated.

OPTIONAL RECHARGEABLE BATTERY KIT

The shotgun lights can run on rechargeable lithium-ion

batteries with purchase of the 18650-KIT1 that includes two

rechargeable batteries, charger and USB cable.

OPERATION

The left and right side swtiches on all models operate

indepedently. Either switch provides momentary or constant

on functionality.

yTurn on/off: Press down for 1/2 second or less and

release.

yMomentary on: Press and hold for 1/2 second or longer,

release to turn off.

Laser Models:

Laser models (GL) feature white light and green laser

options that can be programmed. Depending on the user-

selected program mode, activation of the switch will operate

either 1) white light only, 2) green laser only, or 3) white

light and green laser. See programming instructions in the

next section.

Standard models (WL) feature white light only and are

not programmable.
