This adaptor is an ExpressCard adaptor for use with “Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo”

HX series media. To use the adaptor, insert it into the card slot of a Sony XDCAM

EX device.

How To Use This Adaptor

Insert a “Memory Stick” into the “Memory Stick” slot of the adaptor. (Figure A)

Insert the adaptor into the card slot of the device (Example: PMW-EX1R). (Figure

Do not press the access lamp. Pressing it too strongly may damage the •

adaptor.

The method of removing this adaptor depends on the device you are •

using it with.

Operate the device.

For details, see the instructions of the device.

Note

The access lamp blinks to indicate that data is being accessed. Never eject “Memory

Stick” media, turn oﬀ the device, or remove the adaptor from the device while

the access lamp is blinking. Doing so may damage the data on the “Memory

Stick” media.

Removing the adaptor from a supported device

Refer to the instructions of the device for information about how to remove the

adaptor.

To use a “Memory Stick” formatted with the XDCAM EX

camcorder with other devices

When using a “Memory Stick” formatted with the supported devices

Make a backup before proceeding.

When using a

“Memory Stick”

formatted with the PMW-EX1R or

PMW-350 of version 1.00

Proceed as follows.

With a computer

First make a backup copy of the data on the “Memory Stick”.

When the backup is done, establish a USB connection between the

computer and the camcorder, insert the “Memory Stick” into the slot of this

camcorder, then format it from the computer.

The procedure for formatting depends on the computer's operating system.

For details, refer to the operating instructions for the computer.

With a device other than a computer having a “Memory Stick” slot

First make a backup copy of the data on the “Memory Stick”.

When the backup is done, format the “Memory Stick” with the device.

For details of the procedure for formatting, refer to the operating instructions

for the device.

Comment utiliser cet adaptateur

Insérez un « Memory Stick » dans le logement pour « Memory Stick » de

l’adaptateur. (Figure A)

Insérez l’adaptateur dans le logement pour carte du périphérique (Exemple :

PMW-EX1R). (Figure B)

Remarques

N’appuyez pas sur le voyant d’accès. Si vous appuyez dessus trop fort, cela •

risque d’endommager l’adaptateur.

La méthode de retrait de cet adaptateur dépend du périphérique avec •

lequel vous l’utilisez.

Faites fonctionner le périphérique.

Pour plus de détails, consultez les instructions du périphérique.

Remarque

Le voyant d’accès clignote pour indiquer que les données sont en cours d’accès.

N’éjectez jamais le support « Memory Stick », ne mettez jamais le périphérique

hors tension ou ne retirez jamais l’adaptateur du périphérique quand le voyant

d’accès clignote. Cela pourrait endommager les données sur le support

« Memory Stick ».

Retrait de l’adaptateur d’un périphérique pris en charge

Reportez-vous aux instructions du périphérique pour plus d’informations sur la

façon de retirer l’adaptateur.

Pour utiliser avec d’autres périphériques un « Memory Stick »

Procédez comme suit.

Avec un ordinateur

Eﬀectuez tout d’abord une copie de sauvegarde des données du « Memory

Stick ».

Une fois la sauvegarde terminée, établissez une connexion USB entre

l’ordinateur et le caméscope, insérez le « Memory Stick » dans le logement

de ce caméscope puis formatez-le depuis l’ordinateur.

La procédure de formatage dépend du système d’exploitation de l’ordinateur.

Pour plus de détails, reportez-vous aux instructions d’utilisation de

l’ordinateur.

Avec un périphérique autre qu’un ordinateur équipé d’un logement

pour « Memory Stick »
