2Introduction / Installation Flow
Introduction
This document describes how to use a purchase key to
acquire a license file, and how to install the license file
on an NSR-500 series unit.
Installing the license file on the NSR-500 series
increases the maximum number of cameras that can be
registered to 24.
Installation Flow
Note
The license file requires the serial number (S/N) of the
NSR-500 series unit on which the file will be installed.
The serial number can be found as follows on the
package label of the NSR-500 series unit, and on the
front and rear panels of the unit. You can also select
[Information] in the software logon screen and find the
serial number in the information screen that appears.

Keep the “LICENSE PURCHASE KEY
NOTIFICATION” handy.
The purchase key can be found in the “LICENSE
PURCHASE KEY NOTIFICATION.”

The design and naming of the “LICENSE PURCHASE
KEY NOTIFICATION” are subject to change without
notice.
Step 2: Acquiring the
License File
Access the Sony license file download site (eCSite)
from a web browser, and acquire the license file.

Write down the serial number (S/N) of the
NSR-500 series unit on which the license file will
be installed.
Entry of this serial number will be required during
the application process for the license file.
For details on verifying the serial number, see
“Installation Flow” (page 2).

Start the web browser on your computer.

Enter the following URL in the address field of the
web browser.
https://www.ecspert.sony.biz/
The eCSite login screen appears.

Enter the user ID and password, and click [Login].
User registration is required when logging in for the
first time after renewing eCSite.
For details, see “Registering the user” (page 4).
The user ID can be found in the eCSite user
registration completion email. For the password,
enter the password configured during eCSite user
registration.

Enter the access code, and click [Login].
The access code can be found in the eCSite user
registration completion email.
