TheADS1018isaprecision,low-power,12-bit,noise-

free,analog-to-digitalconverter(ADC)thatprovides

allfeaturesnecessarytomeasurethemostcommon

sensorsignalsinanultrasmall,leadless,X2QFN-10

orVSSOP-10package.TheADS1018integratesa

programmablegainamplifier(PGA),voltage

reference,oscillatorandhigh-accuracytemperature

sensor.Thesefeatures,alongwithawidepower-

supplyrangefrom2Vto5.5V,maketheADS1018

ideallysuitedforpower-andspace-constrained,

sensor-measurementapplications.

TheADS1018performsconversionsatdataratesup

to3300samplespersecond(SPS).ThePGAoffers

inputrangesfrom±256mVto±6.144V,allowing

bothlargeandsmallsignalstobemeasuredwith

highresolution.Aninputmultiplexer(mux)allows

measurementoftwodifferentialorfoursingle-ended

inputs.Thehigh-accuracytemperaturesensorisused

forsystem-leveltemperaturemonitoring,orcold-

junctioncompensationforthermocouples.

TheADS1018operateseitherincontinuous-

conversionmode,orinasingle-shotmodethat

automaticallypowersdownafteraconversion.

Single-shotmodesignificantlyreducescurrent

consumptionduringidleperiods.Dataaretransferred

throughaserialperipheralinterface(SPI™).
