• Do not touch the blades while the unit is operating or use the

unit if the screen cap becomes damaged.

• Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer.

A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may

create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.

• When charging, use the power adapter with the output

parameter of 5V 1A. Do not use a power adapter with an

output power greater than 15W.

• Please charge, use, and store this product at a temperature

between 40°F and 95°F (5°C and 35°C).

• Use appliances only with specifically designated battery packs.

Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and

fire.

• When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal

objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other

small metal objects, that can make a connection from one

terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together

may cause burns or a fire.

• Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the

battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with

water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.

Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.

• Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged

or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit

unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.

• Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive

temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 265°F

/130°C may cause explosion.

• Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery

pack or appliance outside of the temperature range specified

in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures

This appliance is for household use only.

GETTING STARTED

• Remove all labels, tags and stickers attached to the body of the shaver.

•Remove and save literature.

• Please go to www.prodprotect.com/blackanddecker to register your

warranty.

• Read all the instructions before using your shaver.

• Wash and dry all parts as instructed in CARE AND CLEANING section of this

manual.

CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Ensure that the shaver is shut down prior to charging.

2. Use the USB charging port on the shaver and charging cable to charge the

unit.

3. When the battery is low, the white power indicator light flashes, indicating

that you need to charge the shaver.

4. The shaver takes about 3 hours to charge, and the white power indicator light

flashes while charging. When fully charged, the light will stop flashing and

stay lit.

5. When fully charged, disconnect the charging cable.

OPERATION

Prior to use, inspect fabric carefully to ensure you do not shave off actual pulled

fabric.

1. Layout a section of the garment smoothly on a flat surface. You should always

test the shaver first on an unnoticeable, hidden section of your garment or

fabric. When trimming thin clothing, fold into double layers and place on an

ironing board to trim.

2. Turn the switch on and lightly stroke

the garment back and forth (A). Do

not apply any pressure - only use the

weight of the unit. You will quickly

notice the pills and fuzz being removed

and drawn into the lint catcher.

3. When using the fabric shaver, be

careful to bypass the following areas: buttons, zippers, decorative pieces,

foreign matter stuck to clothing, clothing interface and seams, and thin or

easy to tear parts.

4. After you have completed each individual garment, wipe off all residue on the

unit and screen cap so you do not transfer any residue onto the next garment.

CAUTION: The shaver may not be appropriate for use on all types of fabrics.

Using the shaver on delicate fabrics such as angora wool, or fabrics of a

“textured” or raised knit design may damage or alter these fabrics. We

recommend first testing the shaver on an unnoticeable section of fabric as

indicated previously, and use light strokes - do not press into the garment.

NOTE: This product should not be used on down clothing.

Should performance decrease, check the battery power and clean the unit by

emptying the lint catcher, and CAREFULLY INSPECT THE BLADES. If dull or

jagged you may want to order a replacement blade set and foil cap.

TRAVEL LOCK FUNCTION

This product is equipped with a travel lock function to avoid accidental startup.

To engage travel lock: With the shaver turned off, press and hold the On/Off

button for 3 seconds. The shaver will enter into travel lock mode and the travel

lock indicator light will flash three times and turn off.

To disable travel lock: While in the locked state, press and hold the On/Off

button for 3 seconds. The shaver will run and exit the travel lock mode. The

shaver will enter start-up mode.

CLEANING AND CARE

This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified

service personnel.

To Clean:

To maintain the best performance of the

fabric shaver, clean after each use.

1. With the unit turned off, gently remove the

lint catcher by pulling it outward as shown

(B). Discard contents and clean the lint

catcher with a cleaning brush.

Note: Do not allow the lint catcher to

become more than three quarters full.

2. Re-attach the lint catcher by pushing

it towards the unit. The catcher will

magnetically snap into place.

3. Next, remove the foil cap by turning it

counter-clockwise. Gently pull out the

blade set. Use brush to remove any lint

remaining inside the area where the blade

set is located. Also remove any lint on the

blade set and foil cap. See illustration (C).

4. Do not submerge the unit in water to clean. Simply wipe off with a damp

cloth. When cleaning, handle with care so as not to damage the blades.

USO

Antes de utilizar, inspeccione el tejido cuidadosamente para asegurarse que no

se afeita el tejido sacado.

1. Extienda suavemente una sección de la prenda sobre una superficie plana.

Siempre debe probar primero la afeitadora en una sección de la prenda o

tejido. Cuando recorte prendas finas, dóblelas en dos capas y colóquelas

sobre una tabla de planchar para recortarlas.

2. Encienda el interruptor y pase

ligeramente sobre el tejido hacia

delante y hacia atrás (A). No ejerza

ninguna presión, utilice sólo el peso del

aparato. Rápidamente notará que las

bolitas y las pelusas se eliminan y se

introducen en el recogedor de pelusas.

3. Cuando utilice la afeitadora de tejidos,

tenga cuidado de evitar las siguientes zonas: botones, cremalleras, piezas

decorativas, objetos extraños adheridos a la ropa, interfaz y costuras de la

ropas, y partes finas o fáciles de rasgar.

4. Después de terminar cada prenda individual, limpie todos los residuos de la

unidad y la tapa para no transferir ningún residuo a la siguiente prenda.

PRECAUCIÓN: La afeitadora puede no ser adecuada para utilizar en todo tipo

de tejido. El uso de la afeitadora en tejidos delicados, como la lana de angora, o

tejidos con un diseño “texturizado” o de punto con relieve, puede dañar o alterar

estos tejidos. Recomendamos que pruebe primero la afeitadora en una sección

oculta del tejido, como indicado anteriormente, y utilizar pasadas suaves – no

presione la prenda.

NOTA: Este product no debe utilizarse en prendas de plumas.

Si el rendimiento disminuye, revise la potencia de la batería, y limpie la unidad

vaciando el recogedor de pelusas, e INSPECCIONE CUIDADOSAMENTE LAS

CUCHILLAS. Si están desafiladas o dentadas, es posible que necesite pedir un

juego de cuchillas de repuesto y una tapa de aluminio.

FUNCIÓN DE BLOQUEO

Este producto está equipado con una función de bloqueo para evitar el inicio involuntario.

Para asegurar el bloqueo: Con la afeitadora apagada, presione y sostenga el botón

On/Off (encendido/apagado) durante 3 segundos. La afeitadora pasará al modo de

bloqueo y la luz indicadora de bloqueo parpadeará tres veces y se apagará.

1. Con la unidad apagada, extraiga con

tirándolo hacia fuera como se muestra

(B). Deseche el contenido y limpie el

recogedor de pelusas con el cepillo de

limpieza.

Nota: No permita que el recogedor de

pelusas se llene más de tres cuartos de su

capacidad.

2. Vuelva a instalar el recogedor de

pelusas, empujándolo hacia la unidad. El

recogedor encajará magnéticamente en

su lugar.

3. A continuación, retire la tapa de aluminio

girándola hacia la izquierda. Extraiga

con cuidado el juego de cuchillas. Utilice

el cepillo de limpieza para eliminar cualquier pelusa que quede dentro de la

zona donde se encuentra el juego de cuchillas. Quite también las pelusas del

juego de cuchillas y de la tapa. Vea la figura (C).

4. No sumerja la unidad en agua para limpiarla. Limpie simplemente con

un pano húmedo. Al limpiarla, manipúlela con cuidado para no dañar las

cuchillas.

5. Cuando termine de limpiar, vuelva a insertar la cuchilla en la caja de la unidad

y coloque la tapa de aluminio. Gire hacia la derecha para apretar a mano.

Almacenamiento:

Cuando el aparato no esté en uso, guárdelo fuera del alcance de los niños en un

lugar seguro y seco.
