1.PresstheMODEbuttonuntilthetimeis
displayedand appearsintheupperCLOCK
rightcornerofthedisplay.
2.PressandholdtheMODEbuttonuntil 12 Hr
or 24 Hrappearsandashes.PresstheHR
buttontochangebetween12-hourand24-hour
display.PressSTART/STOPtolockthesetting.
3.Whilethetimeisashing,presstheHRand/or
MINbuttonstoenterthecorrecttime.
4.PressSTART/STOPtoconrmtimeandexit
setmode.
C. Count Down
1.PresstheMODEbuttonuntiltimerdisplayis
shownand appearsintheupperrightTIMER

H. Candy Thermometer
1.Inserttheprobestemthroughbothholesinthe
attachmentclip.
2.Positionituntilthetipoftheprobeisjustabove
thebottomofthepotwhentheclipisattached
totherimofthepot.
3.SetthetemperaturealertforUpperLimitas
describedinSection F.Candytemperaturesare
listedontheinstructionsforeasyreference.
Important:Keepsensorcableawayfromdirectheatof
thecooktopburner—wiresinsidethecablemaybecome
damaged.
I. Oven Test
Duringuse,anoventhermostatwillcyclethe
ovenonandofftomaintainthetemperatureat
whichthecontrolknobisset.Someovenswill
experienceawidetemperaturedeviationwhile
othersmayhavetighterregulation.Forroasting
thisisnotcritical.However,forbakingitiscritical
toknowhowhottheovengetswhiletryingto
maintainatemperatureof,forexample,350ºF.
1.Positiontheprobeinthecenteroftheoven.
2.Gentlyclosetheovendooronthesensorcable
andinserttheplugintothejackontheleftside
ofthecase.
3.PresstheMAX/MINbuttononcetodisplay
MAX underTHERMO.
4.PressSTART/STOPbuttontoclearthe
memory.Threedashes(–––)appearonthe
display.
5.Lettheovencycleonandoffatleasttwotimes.
6.PressMAX/MINagaintoreadthehighest
temperaturetheovenhadreached(MAX).
7. PressMAX/MINagaintoreadthelowest
temperaturetheovenhadreached(MIN).
Note:Cleanthethermometerprobebeforeeachuse.
Note for Induction Cooktops:Sometimes,theinduction
cooktopmagneticeldmayinterferewithdigitalthermometers.
Ifthereisinterference,brieyturnofftheinductioncooktopto
getadigitalthermometerreadingoruseadialthermometer.
Important: DO NOT LEAVE THERMOMETER CASE IN
HOT OVEN. CASE IS NOT HEAT RESISTANT.
Tip:Meatshouldbeallowedto“rest”for10to15minutesafter
itisremovedfromoven.Thisallowstimeforthemeat’sinternal
temperaturetostabilizeandthejuicestoredistribute.Thiswill
resultinaroastthatisbothjuicierandeasiertocarve.
