Symbol meanings

The batteries are low and need to be replaced.

Wood moisture measurement mode is selected.

In this mode you can measure themoisture level of

sawn timber, paper or cardboard.

Building material moisture measurement mode is

selected. In this mode you can measure themoisture

level of hardened building material (mortar, concrete

or plaster).

Use

1. Press thebutton to turn themoisture meter on.

2. Select desired mode.

3. When thedevice is on, press and hold in thebutton for

3 seconds to enter thesettings mode (the symbol will

then start to flash in thedisplay).

4. When thesymbol starts to flash in thedisplay, hold

in thebutton until thedesired mode is indicated by

thecorresponding symbol in thedisplay. There are four

measurement modes (wood, building material, Celsius

and Fahrenheit).

5. When themode has been selected, wait 3 seconds.

The meter will now automatically exit thesettings mode

and is ready to use.

Measuring

•The current temperature can be read directly from

the display.

•To measure moisture, press theprobes against

thematerial to be measured. The percentage moisture

will appear in thedisplay.

Automatic shut-off

•The meter will shut itself off after 15 seconds (if it is not

being used).

•If thelow battery symbol appears, change thebatteries.

Make sure to insert thebatteries according to thepolarity

markings in thebattery compartment.

•The meter will automatically shut itself off after 15 seconds

if thelow battery symbol appears.

Backlight

The backlight goes out after 3 seconds.

Care and maintenance

•Keep theinstrument dry.

•Make sure that theprobes are clean.

•Keep theinstrument and batteries out of reach of children.

•Remove thebatteries if theinstrument is not to be used

for along time.
