speed
Turn
the
central
knurled
knob
(1),
until the
top
of the white
triangular
window
appears
opposite
the
ASA
or DIN number
relevant
to the
film in
USE.
Reflected
light
method
Push
the
diffusing
sphere
(9)
to
the
left,
taking
care
that
the
cell
window
(10)
is
not
obstructed.
With
the
sphere
in
this
position,
the
STXON
2
is ready
to
measure
by the
reflected
light
method
and
the
meter
shoutd
be
directed
towards
the
subiect
from
the
camera position.
This
is
a
good
method
of reading
to
adopt
parlicularly
when
large
äreas
of
bright
or
dark
tones
are
nor
included
in
the
scene.
Measuring
To
switch
on, turn
the operating
switch
(12)to
l.
The
meter is
now ready
for
either
reflected
or
incident
light
measur-
ments.
The
indicator
needle
(4)
marks
the
scale value
(5).
This reading
is
trans-
ferred
to the
setting ring
(8)
by turn-
ing
until the
yellow
triangular
J
window
(3)
indicates
the
vaue
measured
by the needle
(4).
The
upper
part
of the
setting ring
(8)
shows the relevant
shutter
soeed/
aperture values.
Select the

suitable
combination
for
your pur-

filming, incident light
measurements are taken and aper-
tures to use are
indicated
avove
the
relevant cine
filming
speed
values
(11).

Move the diffusing sphere
(9)
until it
clicks
into
oosition
over the
cell
win-
dow.
With the
sphere
in this
posi-
tion, the slx0N 2
is
adjusted for
incident light measurement. The
meter is directed
from
the subject
towards
the
camera,
thus measur-
ing the
light falling
on the subject
from the camera angle.
Incident
light measurements make
possible
accurate
readings
of
inac-
cessible subjects
when taken at a
substitute
point
receiving the
same
illumination as the subject. lt is also
preferable
to
use
incident reading
when subjects contain
large
areas
of either
light
or dark
tones.

life duration if treated with
care.

it
become
faulty, for
any
reason,
do not try to repair it

You should check
the voltage
of the
battery
from
time to time.
When
the
operating
switch
(12)
is turned
to
T,
the
needle
(4)
should
come
to
rest
on the
index
mark
(6),
lf it fails to do
so, the battery
must
be
replaced.
To
do this,
turn the operating
switch
(12)
to
X and the scription
should
be
visible
when
inserted. Switch
off the
SIXON
2 when
not in use
to conserve
battery
power.
