Put
your
SlXTlN0 2 in measuring
position
and
you
can measure
either
reflected
light
or
incident
light.
Turn
the
setting
ring
(5)
until the
yellow
follow
pointer (4)
stands exactly over
the white
indrcator needle
(3).
The upper
part
of
the
setting ring
(5)
shows
the relevant
shutter speed/aperture values.
Select the most
suitable combi-
nation for
your purposes.

Reflected light measuring
This
method
accepts the light which
is reflected from
the scene
or sub-
ject
to be taken.
Open the
diffusor
blind
(6)
and take care that
the cell
window
(7)
is
not obstructed.
With
the blind in this
position,
the
SlXnNO 2 is ready
to measure
according to the reflected
light
method
and
the
meter
should be
directed
towards
the
subject from
the camera
position.
This
is a
good
method
of reading to
adopt
particularly
when
large
areas
of
bright or dark tones
are
not
included
in the
scene.

Incident light
measuring
This
method refers
to readings
taken
from the
light which
illuminates the
scene or subject,

blind

for incident
light
measurement.
The meter
is
directed
from the subject
towards
the camera.
Read
now the
indicated scale
value and
find out the
most suitable
speed/aper-
ture combination
as described
already.
Incident light
measurements
make
pos-
sible accurate
readings
of inaccessible
subjects
when
taken at a substitute
point
receiving the same
illumination
as
the subject.
lt
is
also
preferable
to use
incident
readings
when subjects contain
large areas
of either
light or dark
tones.

Zero
point
adjustment
When
the
cell

the indicator nee-
dle

must stand at
the zero
point

the left hand of the scale.
lf this is
not the case,
your
meter can be adjusted by turning
the zero-setting
screw
slightly
at the
rear
side of
the SlXTlN0 2 until the indiator
needle
comes
to resl
exactly at
the zero mark.
